  1. Wow, Betty, I don't think you can lose any faster than you have been! Watch out, you'll be slipping down the shower drain! Great job!

Yeah, but as a short person, I get a little tired of looking like a 5 year old with my sleeves rolled back (cause you can't cut them off!) And the crotch of pants hang down to your knees. When bell-bottoms were in, by the time I cut off the excess, they weren't bells any more! LOL

It's the same thing with long-sleeved sweaters. The arms go all the way to the floor. I think of what Vera said every time I check one out..."Who are they making these things for...Monkeys?" LOL

Oh, Greg, I think your Choir Director's looking for you.

I guess when someone else measures you, it's different than when you're looking down and trying to measure yourself. (Just a guess.) But I honestly bought the most comfortable bras from this place that I've ever had. They're near the Medical Center and deal w/ a lot of people w/health problems. I can't find the brands they carry in a regular store. Knowing what size/cup I was supposed to be in was definitely worth the time it took to find out. There's nothing worse than an uncomfortable, digging into you bra!
  6. To regulate the thyroid meds., it's important to keep using the same one...whether it's a particular brand or a particular generic ...to keep the necessary consistent level.

    Good Luck!
  8. Alex, what an inspiration to us and your family!

O.K., little Missies, you're going to have to rethink this pbj sandwich. Perhaps pbj on a rice cake? It won't gom up inside you like bread after banding. I know it's a stretch, but just use your imagination!
  10. Steve, look how close you are to your goal! Please slow down with the overeating and pbing! You want to take care of your band so it will continue working w/you.
  11. I have two "little" men (now 6' and 6'1) that are pretty inspiring too.
  12. Cindy, great job and great nsvs!

Well, Pat, not to add to your anxiety, but couldn't the dr. have figured this out while you were in the room, "hooked up"? Maybe that's why it hurt so bad, he hit something he wasn't supposed to. When do you go back in? Maybe get someone to drive you there and take 1 1/2 valiums?
  14. Have you had your thyroid rechecked since your weight loss? You could need the dosage adjusted. I know it's important to keep using the same BRAND of thyroid medication and not switch from one to another for consistent control.

Penni, they're pros, they'll figure it out! LOL
  16. Rachel, Congratulations! Your date will be here before you know it! I used to look like that third cat. Now I look more like the puppy, short and no where for it to go. LOL
  17. What a wonderful anniversary present for both of you!! Congratulations, I celebrated 32 yrs. in September. I know you'll be a shadow of yourself by your 34th!!
  18. Musicman, you have a great sense of humor! I'm sorry you're having a bad day. Hope things get better for you!! Here's a (((hug)) to help you feel better.

Trish, that's an excellent idea! You're a beautiful girl in both pics! I dodged the camera for so long, I don't have any preband pics to compare with. But I came across one yesterday that was 2 years old. I just stood there and stared at it. I was stunned. I asked my son if I really did look like that. He just smiled and hugged me. Why didn't my family tell me? I think I was in such denial, minimum time in front of a bathroom mirror to brush my teeth and hair. I didnt want to look at me. I still see me as fat, but I don't think I really saw me for how big I had gotten. A few months from now, those pics will mean so much to you!

I've been measured. They're very discreet and professional about it -- (Sorry Greg! It's a female.) You don't have a bra on. They measure around - under the breasts to get your size, 40, 44, etc. Then they measure around - across the fullest part. +1" (A cup), +2" (B cup), and so on. Once you get your size figured out, try different types and brands on. They all fit differently. Some are uncomfortable from the get-go.
  21. It depends on your company's particular contract with your health insurance. All are different. I make a $20 co-pay each visit. If it's an unfill, there's no charge.
  22. Amber, they will unfill your band during your pregancy. As soon as your child is delivered, you can get a fill.
  23. Reach for your mate instead of a plate.
  24. An observation, a horizontal position too soon after eating is not a good thing.
  25. Eli, call the contact # on your health insurance card. They should have a contract with your dr. and hospital on an agreed amount (which is much less than your bill shows). Double check but depending on your policy, you shouldn't be responsible for anything but your co-pays and deductibles.
