Five months post op... Highest weight: 227 Current weight: 159
  2. I'm 3 months out and had a strawberry daiquiri last weekend. Drank it at home, just incase it didn't sit well. I will tell you that it was the tastiest adult beverage that I have had in a VERY long time! Ha! Went down smooth... Took my sips and glass lasted me for about an hour. I definitely got a good "buzz" from it. However.. The next morning I woke up feeling SUPER dehydrated! Not a good feeling. I will not consider drinking often... Maybe once in a blue moon...

I have been doing good. Progress has been pretty steady. Surgery was 3 months ago, I'm down 30 lbs since. 50 lbs total. I think the only struggle I have now is taking my vitamins. I keep them on my desk at work and still forget to take them! LOL! I have the memory of an old lady! How have you been doing???

(@fatrosie)You look AMAZING!!! I agree... This has not been an easy journey, by any means... But I sure does feel nice to fit back into my old clothes!
  11. Having it around my wrist was one of the benefits for me. I like to wear bracelets and thought it would be completely comfortable. Guess Ill have to research some more before I decide. I've ears that the Polar T4 was a good option for heart rate/calorie counting, which I think I'm more specific towards rather than the pedometer end of it all.
  12. Our local Best Buy has them in stock! I have been waiting to buy mine because I keep heading reviews of inaccuracies in the pedometer. That it counts any movement from your wrist as a "step". I type all day for work, and Im concerned that it could cause some major miscalculations in my progress.

Here is my before and "current"... I won't say "after" because I'm still in the process of transforming! I'm 3 months post op today, and down 30 since surgery, with a total of 52 lbs gone total!

  17. Sleeved Feb 26... 11 weeks today! Down 28 lbs since surgery and a total of 50 since I started my journey in December... I have been at the same weight for over a week and a half ( I won't call it a "stall" because it hasn't been that long of a pause)... But it's been long enough to getting attention. I think there is still a part of me that is thinking this is just like all the other diets and that I have lost my weight that I was going to lose and it's done. I have gone from a size 20 womens to a size 16 misses, and yet to get rid of a single article of clothing! I'm too afraid that I will need them again!!! So mentally screwed up from the years of yo-yo dieting...
  18. Hang in there! The first two weeks were the worse for me. After that passed, each week got easier. I'm 9 weeks out and life seems back to normal (minus the food)... I still go through bouts of missing certain things, but nothing that I would consider trading my new tummy for.

    Just ate a Wendy's cheeseburger!

I look at it this way... This is our "new" life... It's LIFELONG... If you have a splurge now and again AND HAVE THE CONTOL to keep it at a rare occurrence, I see nothing wrong with that... Some people go hardcore and live that way forever. Some people embarrass their weight loss and learn to look at food in a different way than they did before. I am choosing to educate myself about food and be mindful of my intake. Does that mean I will never have "bad" food or indulge in a few bites of unhealthy food??? Nope, I have no intentions of depriving myself of something that I want (with in reason). I think this first year is my time to take advantage of my weight loss and really work at getting myself fit. I personally have rare cravings for food that I shouldn't have... But I have allowed myself a bite of chocolate... And a few bites of thin crust ham pizza... I'm still losing weight and feel fine. I think it's really a PERSONAL opinion as to how you want to handle your "diet" for your life. We all had this surgery for a reason, we all value the wonders of our sleeves!!!
  20. I'm 7 weeks post op.... And I can say without a doubt, that I would do this again! While my journey has not been "easy", it has been worth it! I'm losing weight at a steady pace and I feel more alive than ever. I have so much more energy and feel that I can do anything that I set my mind to. I am PRO-SLEEVE!!!
