  1. My journey thus far had been completely complication free.. until last week. I was having stomach pain and assumed it was gas but two days later with my stomach so sore as though i had been working out a visit to the doctor would prove that it wasn't. I couldn't eat without what i can best call contractions in my stomach that hurt so intensely it would stop me and my tracks. Did a leak test and all was ok, 5 days later still hadn't eaten not even soft food.. stomach hurt to bad. I was taking pain killers just to make it thru the day and finally my doctor ordered a EGD. We assumed maybe scar tissue or a stricture but it wound up being stomach spasms. I experienced these immediately after surgery also but they weren't as intense. After 2 days of anti spasm meds i was back to normal. only positive thing i got out of all of it was it jump started me out of my stall AND i now know that i have healed great. The doctor said my staple line and stomach were excellent. I'm down to 202 now.. can't wait to pass the 200 mark.. but i can honestly blame myself for not getting all my Protein in.. not to mention between all the med switching i stay nauseous.. so sometimes i don't want to eat.. working on it though,... Fluid is not as hard to get in as it was as first but i have to remind myself ALL Day,... just started working out cardio for the most part right now,.. hopefully will see some results there.. check in soon.. keep pushing!

  2. I don't think you are doing anything wrong. Everyone's body loses at its own time. But I'm just following my docs post op plan. I'm on my fitness pal under hthode if you want to see a daily diet for me. I find tracking food is really helpful for me while I'm learning new eating habits.

I'm still learning how to use the app.. but i think i just sent you a invite .. will i be able to see you when you accept it? Still new at it. .. bare with me.. lol

  3. My nut says things like don't focus on Protein so much and you'll get it in. Or I'll ask what stage is next and she'll say...we'll see! Needless to say i'm in the process of getting another one. But in the meantime I would love your help.

Question 1: How many carbs should we intake to continue weight loss at 4 weeks?

Question 2: How much calories and Water intake is ideal for weight loss at 4 weeks?

Question 3: Do we need certain amount of fat grams too?

What are some of your daily diets consisting of (7am-bedtime timeline) so i can get an idea of proper foods and time management..

I know for someone who researched for 6months before having this surgery i sound clueless but the diet after was never made clear...

    Thanks for your help.

  4. I just had my surgery on 2/18 w Dr smith at baylor trophy club also. He is real attentive but to the point has a pet peeve for fully examining you before doing surgery psych, edge, blood, chest xrays etc. The process is rather quick because they submit to your insurance while waiting for results of tests. I went for consult on 1/15 was approved in 17days then sleeved two was later. The staff at trophy club is extremely personal and considerate. It is a small facility so it is one on one they make sure u r comfortable

    ..hope this helps

  5. This is my third day in the hospital. I was sleeved on Tuesday the 19th. They're having problems managing my pain. I want Tylenol IV drip' date=' they want me to swallow liquid meds that made me so sick I wet my pants and was afraid of ripping my staples out. They want me to try it again today. I'm like just bring me the Tylenol drip so I can think straight.

Drinking liquids is an issue. I feel like I'm swallowing huge amounts of air which is painful. It passes in a few seconds, but it makes it hard to get liquids down. Same thing happened with Jello.< /p>

I'm in a lot of pain and discomfort right now. I'm so jealous of everyone who had no problems with nausea and pain. Hopefully in a few days I'll feel like this was all worth it.[/quote']

I can def relate I am so sore had nausea more than not was sleeved on the 18th n was up all night w diarrea n started period all same fay

  6. Had my surgery yesterday for the most part all went well. I only suffered stomach spasms when I woke up and into the night rather than pain from the actual surgery itself. I just did my leak test and passed so I'm sipping on my first Water righf now and have to do so every 15 min until I get 8oz down, I don't regret having this surgery.. I actually woke up this morning and was like "I did it, I really did it" I'm so proud of myself and all of you who have taken matters in your own hands to do something about it. I am still under the influence of dillatin and other drugs so it is hard for me to stay away... I'll update you later along with my youtube channel karishero.

  7. It's official I got sleeve yesterday.!!!. Only problem I've had is stomach spasms (mimic contraction) The doc said I did real good on my pre op diet and that my liver was great and surgery went smooth He repair my hernia at the same time as surgery. I will be doing the swallowing test soon and then will be allowed to have liquids I can't wait cuz i'm dying of thirst. Pain wasn't real bad, just the average laparoscopic pain. The incisions are itching which is to be expected since they are itching.. I will keep you guys updated the more coherent I become... Check out youtube my channel karisero for more details..
