I went for my 3rd fill yesterday and my surgeon couldn't do it because my lap and is twisted. Anyone here ever have that problem? He is going to do the fill next week under fluoro.

I'm not sure if lapband/weight loss is the culprit but I've passed 7 kidney stones since my surgery in January 2013. Some were over 7mm's! Personally I think it's because I forget to drink now that I can't drink with meals and I'm no longer a diabetic! Anyone else experiencing problems with kidney stones?

I normally have 1-3 lbs difference but never 6lbs! I think your right time to buy a new scale!

I didn't lose anything during preop diet. Don't beat yourself up over it after Tuesday you will really begin to lose weight! Good luck on Tuesday!!!!

Every Sunday I weigh myself first thing in the morning. Does anyone know if this is the best time to do it? I weighed myself this morning and I was 212 and about an hour later I weighed myself again and I was 218. Should I go by my weight first thing in the morning or is there a better time of the day to weigh myself?

I have type 2 diabetes. I was banded 1/17/13. My sugars have been really good and I haven't had to use the sliding scale too often, however, I still use Levemir I the am and pm but I went from 28units 2times/day to 14 units. I'm going to see my PCP this week because a few times I woke up and my sugar was 49! I'm hoping that he will give me thumbs up to stop using Levemir at bedtime! I'm so anxious to be done with sticking myself!!!!

Hello everyone! I had surgery early this morning and I'm stuck here over night. My surgeon nicked an artery that was in the way and wasn't suppose to be there. Now my bs is high, my potassium is low, so I'm hooked to a tele-monitor bc of an elevated t wave. There's no pain except gas pains!

Well I got my surgery time. It's bright and early and I'm so nervous right now. I hope I made the right decision and I pray everything will go smoothly. I have confidence in my surgeon so I know I'm in good hands.

Thank you everyone for the recommendations on restrictions. I'm going to confirm with my family tonight that everyone who responded on the thread highly recommended all those restrictions plus a few more! I live on Royalty Street so I have the queen, prince, king, princess living with me. It will be a nice change seeing them running around for a few days waiting on me.

I'm schedules for my surgery 1/17. I'm trying to get a list together of things I can't do according to my calculations I can't: cook, clean, do laundry, fix broken appliances, grocery shop, lift children, work, be a taxi driver. Is there anything I'm missing???

Landband twist?

His words were "it's twisted" and because of that he wasn't able to give me a fill. He's going to try under fluoro but he seems to think he may need to make an incision to "untwist" it.
