  1. This is such a great thread! I have had this happen to me' date=' but was "scared" to talk to my doc about it. (he is not very personable - LOL). But now I know it "normal". I am about 3 months banded and still working on what works. I have never had the slime, but have the PB every time I eat. I figured the burping was because I do spend so much time chewing that it must allow air into my stomach some how. Does anyone have problem with excessive gas? I have never had so much gas in my life, I am almost afraid to move sometimes cause it could just slip out. So embarrassing! Especially since I work in an office. I try to walk real slow to the bathroom and hopefully get there to let it out. I tried taking some Gas-X but that didn't help. Any suggestions?[/quote']

Sorry this made me laugh :)

Ye i have excess gas, im the burping queen since been banded!

Ive had plenty of pb'ing but i dont slime, thank god sounds disgusting.

  2. Ive 4cc's in a 10cc band.

I think i'll be at green zone soon, i get satisfied from a small meal.

Now for me this takes awareness because realisticly i could sit and eat slowly for an hour.

    So after 15/20mins i quit!

If i rush my food it will get stuck quite easily.

So never full, but satisfied, thats the goal right?

Problem is i dont stay satisfied for very long,

Doc thinks a small fill will give me this and help me not wanna snack between meals.

  3. Yep went through this stage myself, im 10weeks out now and it hasnt bee plain sailing... Ive struggled to loose weight, felt like i couldnt do another diet, stressed out badly.

I dunno what but something clicked and i just realised to hang in there until i get my restriction and it will be easier then.

Its just not an option to fail, i have a wedding in august, my daughters communion next year and my own wedding in 2/3 yrs!

I will walk down that isle slim and healthy :)

My better attitude and relaxed approach has helped me loose 3lb this week!

  4. Oh i could have written your post, was banded 11/10!

Lost 10lbs on liquids post op and since then nothing... My family and friends now i had it done so i feel like a failure known there looking at me weekly :(

I also have 4cc's, due for another fill i 2weeks.

At the moment i feel like im on a hard diet, im calorie counting and its hard to deal with the hunger, esp when im getting little results.

I lost the plot with my weightloss consultant whos also my nutritionist on the phone the other day... I know it all takes time but its very frustrating :(

  5. Hey Lyd, i was banded 11/10

I lost 10lb from liquids post op but nothing since!

Its very very frustrating and last week i began to panic that this wasnt gonna work, all my family and friends known it didnt work.

    Not gonna happen!

Ive come to far to take that as an option,

It'll take time, we'll get there.

Btw ive had 2fills so far, my doc does them every 4weeks.

Im at 4cc's, have slight restriction so im hoping i'll get to a sweet spot very soon.

For now i have to calorie count, as crappy as it is!

Im basically on another bloody diet!!

  6. So do you?

Im struggling to loose weight with not been at proper restriction yet.

    9weeks post op!

I calorie counted for a while and then stopped when my portions became smaller due to fills.

Im back counting calories again, i use an app on my phone.

The app tells me i need to eat 1200 or my body will go into starvation mode but ive seen some bandsters eat as little as 800 a day.

    So what is right??

  7. Thanks so much everyone!

Im not comparing i know were all so different just wanted to chat a bit about it.

Im in ireland and its such a taboo to have weightloss surgery here, theres no support except from my doc who is great but a bit hard to relate to when it comes to daily struggles.

I do feel restriction, i dont think i'll need much more of a fill.

3 small meals a day, good choice food!

Not getting the full 3-4 hrs of feeling full so my doc thinks a small little fill in 2 weeks will help that.

The scales will just not move and its disheartening :(

What i love about the band is now matter how much of a bad day im having i cant console myself with endless amounts of food anymore.

    Its just not possible!

Thanks for all the advice and understanding,

Great to have somewhere for advice.

    Its been a lonely 9weeks

  8. Hi all, pretty new here, just been lurking a bit :)

Im 9weeks post op, have 4cc's in my 10cc band.

Feeling some restriction at this point but not sure if im at my "sweet spot" yet.

When did you reach a good stage?

How many cc's suit you for regular weightloss?

I know were all different, just curious!
