That is wonderful. I have heard that is a great app. My husband is a runner and sometimes I think I might want to join him one day

My surgery is tomorrow, too. What time is your surgery. Mine is scheduled for 9am. Is it outpatient? I hope to be home by mid-afternoon tomorrow. Best of luck. -

I am getting banded tomorrow. It's kind of hard to believe the day has finally come! I am feeling good. I am down 18 pounds from the pre-op diet and a total of 32 since last July (my first visit with the surgeon.) I am looking forward to being on the other side! Good luck everyone! -
I completely understand and agree with everything you are feeling. I'm 38 with a 7 and 4 year old. I hate that it has come to surgery but I feel this is the best step to take for my future and the future of my children. I want to play with them. I want to take them to Disney World and enjoy it! I am on my last day of the pre-op diet. It really went by much faster than I thought. You can do it! My surgery is tomorrow at 9am. I'm very nervous about being put to sleep but know that this is the best decision for me! Good luck with your pre-op diet. SF jello and chicken broth have been my best friends!

band it or sleeve it ??
JARS517 replied to rockdutchess82's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Have you considered Lap Band with plication? They band you and then fold part of the stomach in and sew it to make a smaller stomach (similar to the sleeve.) I am having this procedure on Monday morning. -

This forum has been a wonderful support to me. I have been mostly a "reader" of posts but I am trying to get more involved. My surgery is on Monday. I can't wait to be on the "other side"! Congrats on your approval! -

Protein Shake Preference/ Unjury??
JARS517 replied to ireallywannabthin's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am using the Syntrax Nectar chocolate truffle powder. I buy it from amazon.com. A scoop has zero fats and zero carbs & zero sugars. It has 100 calories (powder alone) and 23 grams of protein. I add this to a cup of skim fat free milk which adds 80 calories. I actually like it and it tastes like carnation instant breakfast to me. I am on Day 12 of the pre-op diet so I have come to love this stuff! -
How many calories per day on your pre op diet?
JARS517 replied to makeyourself's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am currently on day 11 of my 14 day pre-op diet. I am allowed up to 1000 calories but have been around 650 each day. I drink 2-3 protein shakes and have a bowl of low-fat cream based soup that has been blended and drained. I can also have sf jello, sf Popsicles (too cold for them!) and broth. I've lost close to 15 pounds on this diet so far but it's not easy. There are times that are hard. For the most part, when I'm working, I'm not thinking about food. Best of luck to you! -

I am scheduled for surgery on the 21st as well. I feel the same way. I am ready though. This will be great for both of us! -

Best of luck tomorrow! -
Hi! My surgery is also on Jan. 21. For me, today has been the hardest of the pre op diet (day 6). During the work week, my day is very structured leaving little time to think about food. We can do this!

I am on a full liquid diets for 2 weeks prior to surgery. I can have protein shakes/drinks, cream based soups that have blended with no chunks, sf jello/popsicles, and broth. It's pretty limited but I've done well so far. Today was the hardest because it's the weekend and isn't as structured as my work week. I'm down 11 pounds since Monday morning so it's motivating me to stay strict! -

I have been reading posts on LBT since July '12 but just "signed up" today. My surgery date is Jan. 21 at 9am. I am on day 6 of the pre-op diet... Today has been the most diffucult because it's the weekend and I have more free time. Good luck to all!
