I have an IUD that I'm about to get replaced next week. I haven't had a period since having it placed 5 years ago. Last night I started having cramps and sort of freaked out since I haven't had any in 5 years. I'm down 58 pounds and the thought did cross my mind about all that crappy stuff returning due to weight loss. Damn

Mmmmm....I need to research your issue further. In the interim I set you to see all content. You can edit this manually in "Filter by forum" option found on the bottom right of the New Content screen.

Whatever you did worked. I see sleeve stuff now. Thank you!

Your patient profile.
Thank you, Alex. I changed my surgery type there but still only see band stuff in the current tab. I even logged out and back in but still band. Any other ideas to try?

My current is also showing band only... I'm a sleever. How do I fix this?

My biggest deciding factor wad that I couldn't get past the thought of them rearranging my organs. Totally mental but enough so that I went sleeve. I'm not sure why removing most of my stomach wasn't so scary to me but your mind does odd things sometimes.

I didnt read the whole 9 pages, but I am gonna jump in. I am in Colorado Springs and I am having my surgery at Evans on Nov 19th. I am excited and terrified...
Welcome! There are a few of us here in the springs. I had my sleeve done 10/3 in Denver and I'm feeling great. It is a scary process with a lot of what ifs that come to mind but now that I'm on the other side I know how right my decision was.

Congrats to you all you!!! Very helpful post! It's good to learn all you're posting for us pre-op's.I'm schedule for 11/15/13' date=' starting diet 11/1
I have several inquiries
Anyone a diabetic type 2?
High blood pressure?
Are you off all meds after your WLS?
Are you you able to sleep in your side after surgery?
Do they strap you down on the surgery table! I don't like feeling of being pindown or strapped for anything. Freaks me out
I suffer from anxiety/panic attacks, do they give Meds before surgery to help calm nerves down?
[/quote']
I'm currently of my cholesterol meds and can't imagine I'll go back on after significant weight loss.
Yes you can sleep on your side. If comfortable you can even sleep on your tummy.
I don't know if I was strapped down. I was given something for anxiety in the prep room. Went into the OR and scooted onto the operating table. Next thing I remember is waking up on my way to recovery. I would just ask them not to strap you down until you are out if they do that.

I had a coworker tell me to be careful and not lose weight to quickly the other day. I'm only 3 weeks out.

so painful though!! Had it once' date=' thought I would die. Or really wished I would die but wasn't dying fast enough.[/quote']
It gets easier each time

Medical billing is a bit weird. It's not technically overbilling. They bill or their "rate" but have contacts with insurance companies to get paid much less. It's usually figured into the billing systems so they know they are only getting paid x even though they bill out mega money y. It's like that in all aspects of medical billing.

I don't even remember them putting me to sleep. I woke up super groggy on my way to the recovery room. I fell back to sleep and woke up in my hospital room. I pretty much slept the whole day after surgery but hadn't slept a full night 3 night prior due to anxiety. The nurses would come in and take my vitals but let me sleep.

I slept on my stomach a few days out. My problem was having a drain in that got in my way. My doc said stomach sleeping was fine if it wasn't uncomfortable.

I had a drain they removed at my 7 day post op visit.

Pickes are the one thing I've been telling my hubby I've wanted since about day 3. How funny!

Hrhlaurie - I tried messaging you but it keeps giving me an error. I'm in the Springs and was sleeved in October in Denver. I was originally set with a surgeon at Penrose and changed jobs and insurance so my surgeon changed too. I don't get on here much anymore so I might not see if you respond right away.
