  1. Peanut Butter is on my list of "be careful with this and maybe wait till you are more experienced with the band" in the packet from my nut.

Yesterday i had lentil Soup and it was divine. Today I had a couple tablespoons of tuna salad - it was basically applesauce texture before it went in my mouth. Also had a cup (well 1/2 cup) of broccoli cheddar soup from Subway since I was out with my sister and nephew at dinner time. All worked out great.

Bought some diff kinds of squash today and am gonna experiment with soup recipes this week.

  2. If you are concerned I'd call your doc.

I did have an increase in port pain several days after surgery (when everything else seemed to be feeling better and better) and saw my doc because I was concerned. He thinks I just overdid it on a walk the day before and strained a muscle a bit. I've been fine since.

  3. Just stay with it. The weight will come off. I started a pre pre op diet 5 weeks before surgery and for the first 2 weeks the scale didn't budge. I was doing something similar to what you are doing now. Then in the 3rd week it dropped 5lbs. Then in 2 week pre op diet I was on I lost another 12.

Sounds like you are doing all the right things for the plan you're on. The results will come!

  4. My doc told me given my age (33) he thought it likely I may have the band replace over the course of my lifetime. He didn't point to any specific research since little is available in the US for 20yr banders given how long it has been approved here - but that I should go in know it is possible I might need a replacement at some point down the road.

  5. I was banded 8 days ago and wish I'd taken a stoplight softener from the jump. Your body still has some refuse in the system that is gonna work it's way out - and b/c of the pain medications there is a chance it will be a while before your first BM. Even with all the liquids, my first BM was hard and dry as a stone and incredibly painful. A Phillips stool softened cured me and all BMs since have been normal.
