    Personal question for the ladies.

Before I gained all this weight I was a 34DDD. Now i am a 42H. Would looooove to get back to a more manageable size (tho I'm with you in having had big boobs since I was young and I hope not to lose them entirely). My plan is get myself healthy, hopefully improve my fertility and be a healthy mom, and the once I'm past breast feeding - get a surgery for a nice perky set of Ds. We shall see what plays out...

    Headaches

Same thing happened for me - and passed by day 5. I am on day 10 now and have been headache free for most of the past week. My personal hunch is that it is my body detoxing off so much refined junk (sugar, white flour). Hang in there - it will pass!

    On cucumber "chips" sounds great!
  7. Hi all- The predictable has happened: someone I didn't tell knows my plans for the band. I got a Facebook msg from him wishing me luck for my surgery. He is my oldest friend's boyfriend. When I told my friend I asked him not to tell anyone. I'm not sure what to do. It has been a few days and I'm still bothered by it so I know I need to just talk to my friend about it. In the back of my head tho I wonder if I'm overreacting - possibly because this is the first time it's happened to me and I expect over time it is likely to happen more. Has anyone been in this situation? What did you do? Thanks! Aviva
  8. Just FYI that I spoke with my friend and we had a great convo. He was pretty surprised his boyfriend had brought it up, apologized, and will make sure he knows not to bring it up again unless i do first.

    Fighting back my sweet tooth!

I don't have much of a sweet tooth (I'm a salty crunchy girl) but FWIW I find that something sour and acidic helps me get rid of sweet cravings... Like sauerkraut or pickles or sucking a lemon wedge from my ice water.

I agree - you look amazing - and if I was just looking at the pics I'd have thought it was even more. Congratulations - excellent work!

    One year lapband anniversary

Well you look great! Happy bandiversary - way to stick with it!
  12. I'm pretty heavily tattooed and I'm curious if anyone out there who has lost a bunch of weight is as well and what affect the loss had on your body art.... I've seen tats on folks who have gained but not the other way around. Thanks!
  13. thanks for all the replies - i really appreciate it. clearly the TELL NO ONE option isn't available to me at this point, but on the whole, i've gotten almost nothing but support from the people i've been candid with. my friend is actually coming to visit this weekend so i think that's also why it's been on my mind so much. i'm just going to tell him that i was a little taken aback to get the msg from his boyfriend that i did - and while i appreciate that it was positive and i know they both support me, it's really important to me that I can tell people how and when I want, and i'd appreciate their support in keeping this matter private. we'll see where the convo goes from there - but i think that will be enough to let him know i didn't love what happened, and can reinforce the main msg. it has been helpful seeing your replies to remind myself that 1) this will happen again, and 2) i'm pretty lucky that so far it's been positive and supportive. appreciate you all!

just checked your gallery - love 'em! that phoenix is gorg!
  15. My surgery date is set for July 11th - the last week in June I will make my final flight before the band and i'm filled with all the dread - will i fit in the seat? can i get the belt to buckle? will the person next to me be so small they won't be put off by my hip spilling underneath the arm rest? I always vacillate between hoping i'm next to a small person who doesn't take up their whole seat anyhow - and a big person who we can at least commiserate together (even if we're totally smushed together). I'm just so glad this group exists - I'm aiming to lose around 125lbs - and knowing there's a group out there in a similar place as me gives me great comfort. I hope by the time of my next flight (which I'm hoping won't be until August) I'll be able to report back that the seatbelt was no problem!

How do you handle different scales?

Just weighed my 10lbs kettle ball at home and it clocked in at 9.8. So maybe home is accurate, surgeon's office is off/low and doc/nutri offices were anomalies. So long as all the numbers go down, right?

    Tattoos after weight loss

Thanks, lellow - I will check them out. I don't have any on my tummy. Do have on both arms, legs and one on my upper back. I'm hoping their placement will help - they didn't get distorted as I gained so hopefully they hold up as I lose.
