Okay, I'm back. I'm sorry I cried all over your thread. Hugs Nana~

I love my dad but he was never there, Drugs and Rock n Roll is his life. When I went to see him the Summer of 2004 he couldn't even lift his arms to hug me, he begged me to go get some heroin (sp?) so he could just pass. Please Dad don't ask me to something like that. Thats all I could say I know he was in much pain he begged to me and his mom with tears in his eyes. Dr's told us all he had DAYS to live, I just seen him again this summer 06 he is not 100% better but is not dead. No beer no drugs and his liver is healing. I sold Handmade Greeting cards on Ebay to raise money to take the train to get to him before he passed, I am so thankful to the many nice people who donated money and bought cards from me so that I could go be with my Dad on what was to be his last Fathers day. My Father is much more involved with the lives of his Grand kids than he was with me, and thats okay. Me seeing their childhood being filled with so much love helps me escape all the hurt I had to go thru. and now I'm crying I have to go Hugs to all Nana~

I didn't say it wasn't working for me...I said I have not hit goal yet, there are a few like me 2 yrs out still working at goal. I never said I was tossing the towel. I still have 50 to go and I am maintaining not gaining. That does not mean I have given up and I do follow the banded eating ways. I was merely saying it may take longer for some than others to lose the weight... Nana~

I think you SHOULD cancel. I donate plasma and My Dr wanted me to stop for 2 month prior to surgery and 6 after. Ask YOUR Dr. for advice~ You want all your blood levels to show true. Nana~

Heya I start my first time in college on Tuesday! I am so nervous! like a kid! I went and got 2 of my books, next payday I'll buy the other books those classes dont start until later~ What do I need? Do I need a back pack? A folder? notebook paper? lol I have no idea what you take to college! one of my things is a lecture! Can I bring a tape recorder? I have no idea what I'm doing! I am so excited though! Tuesday is going to be a very big day for me!!! Nana~

Nana~ I'm sorry the band is not working out for you I did not make it to goal in 2 years either I'm in fact 50 pounds away from goal I seem to be just maintaining now..I hope its just a phase if not I'll start the diet plans again too! If any thing just go and start taking the basic classes while you decide. If you ace all 3 of the tests then you may need to pick a lil faster lol. All 3 of the women and my hubby all have to take the math! LOL Also you may have time I'm not sure when your registration dates are- ours ends Sept 1st- you may have until the spring to chose your classes but go ahead and test etc now~ Nana~

Okies in order! 1st I went to my local college website (ACC here in TX) and from there linked to the F/Aide site where I filled out my F/A info. 2nd I went back to the college site and filled out an application to the college, you will need to know what your gong after. It's okay to pick something then change your mind I did it just causes more foot work later lol. I picked Education 4-8th at first. 3rd I went to cashiers office to pay for my test- 4th I had to go take the assessment test, it cost me 29.00 they say give yourself 5 hours to complete it I did it in 2 hr hubby did it in less than 1.. I'll confess Dropping out in 8th grade didn't do me any favors on the math section! That's the only part I failed though, it looked more like a spelling test with all those letters! So I have to take basic math. I passed Writing and English,. 5th Once you take the test you take your result papers AND you H.S transcripts OR G.E.D to the Admin. office. This is where you will pick your major or change it. Like I said I changed mine from Education 4-8th to A.S in Health and Science This is also where you will double check all your info SS number address phone all of it. 6th I went to sign in to speak with a counselor. They will answer any question and recommend starting classes. 7th I went to the college computer lab and signed into the website and chose my classes. I waited until the last min. so alot of the classes like my belly dance classes were all full So look at dates times days etc pick your classes. It's important to remember that a short semester class (6-8 weeks) will have just as much work as a full term semester class so keep it in mind when picking classes, I could not imagine doing double the work and homework in 8 weeks my head would pop! lol 8th okay- so now I take my printout of my classes I've registered for and go to the F/Aide office_ If you are not applying for F/Aide from here you would go pay for your classes. 9th I took my printout of classes to the school book store and got 2 of my 5 books USED~ 100.00 My math books are whats gonna cost me alot 89.00 each and I need 3... 10th I start class tomorrow, and I am waiting on my F/Aide to come in I don't get enough F/Aide to cover it all so a student loan will be issues once they see how much F/Aide I get in. Those were my 10 steps hope it helps some! If your thinking of going JUST GO! I been chicken so long I just decided to jump in w/ both feet! Also my sister in law (36) is starting college- and My Mother in_law (57) started last year! It's NEVER too late! Hugs! Nana~

well I only can hope to do as good as Y'all! I start Tues, Hubby starts Wed. I will be F/T he will be P/T and the kids are back in School too! I will take a folder and a spiral on the first day to see what I'll need I start of with Govt Tues and Thurs then I pick up Stretch and flex on Friday. Someone told me they were wearing sweats to class so I think it will be alot of actually stretching That would be cool Okies 5:30 AM I'm up getting things ready for the kids to get to school lol Chat laters~ Nana~

Welcome to LBT and Band land! I too am in TX Sounds to me like you may be too tight, you might wanna have a chat w/ your Dr. I would not like it if I could only eat mash potato's and I love them! You need to be able to eat proteins (Meat) Again Welcome! Nana~

Ask your Dr. I sometimes can do hot dogs with bread sometime w/ out bread. Either way be careful! I've heard of hot dogs and recently blueberries getting stuck! Chew chew chew. Ask your Dr or nurse...they can only say yes or no Nana~

Banded two years and the ONLY regret I have is not doing it sooner! Nana~

I don't think the weekend maintenance had anything to do with old threads at least not that we have been told. It may have just been updating and adding new features OR testing new features to possibly add at a later time. In two years I've not heard of threads being deleted UNLESS it was the posters them self doing it. Nana~

nope that makes sense. My hubby has all of his books still he didnt know he could resell them lol. The lady at the shop told me as long as the spine is not damaged and there is no water damage they'll buy them back. UNLESS they have too many in stock then I'd have to sell at another store or wait. Nana~
