  1. My surgery was 2/4/13. I've had three fills to get to my green zone. (Totally painless BTW) I really don't have restriction, rather satiation for four or more hours, where I feel no hunger and really don't think about food. In four months, I'm down about 40 pounds.
  2. Congratulations on your successful journey!

    Non scale victory
  4. I also have a 14cc band. I'm at 5.5cc of fill now and that put me in the green zone. My surgery was 2/7/2013 and I'm approaching a 40 pound loss.
  5. Warren County. Where are you?
  6. What an inspiration! Thank you.
  7. You look fabulous. Waiting for some photos in some sexy new clothes
  8. It's a breeze. Don't fret over it. I'm going for one myself today.
  9. The discomfort I had in my chest, especially when breathing deep was COMPLETELY gone somewhere between day 10 and 14.
  10. My port area didn't settle down to a completely, normal pain free state for more than 6 weeks. It improved, however, each day. Hang in there. This is normal and things will get better. You had major surgery and it takes time for your body to completely heal.
  11. My port area was sore for nearly two months. The burning, I also had on and off for about the same time. That's from nerves being cur when the incisions are made. It WILL go away. You'll feel so different in a few weeks. Hang in there. I felt so much different at two months post-op from the way I felt at one month out.
  12. Thanks, Megan. Keep up the good work.
  13. Megan, I had my surgery on February 4th. I chose to go all the way to Englewood Hospital because I felt I wanted very experienced surgeons. I'm pleased, so far, with everything. I see you've done very well! Congratulations.
  14. I'm in Knowlton Township, Columbia, just south of Blairstown.
  15. Just click on my photo to get to my page. You'll see a button there to send messages.
  16. I'm in Warren County, out near the PA border. I did however, travel to Engelwood Hopsital to have my surgery done by Dr. Pucci, because I felt he and his partners are extremely experienced. I had a great experience and continue my follow up with them in their Denville office. I couldn't be happier with them and the office staff. I'll pray that everything goes smoothly for you. Send me a private message if you want to stay in touch.
  17. You know, they may have already done the submission. Mine was sent the day I went for my psych and nutrition eval. Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised on Monday.
  18. My doctor's office staff took care of all of it. They were familiar with NJ Direct and knew the routine. I also have hypertension, bad knees and other co-morbidities. They required nothing else from me except the psych and nutrition evals. Where are you located? Who's doing your surgery?
  19. I also have NJ Direct. I was approved in several days from the time the office sent in the required documentation. From my very first consultation with the surgeon to my surgery was about 6 weeks total.
  20. Quick update. Saw the surgeon. Lost 10 pounds in the last 2 weeks! No fill. Back in 2 weeks. Thanks again for your help.
  21. Thank you all for your help.
  22. I am 2 1/2 months post-op. I had my first fill at 6 weeks, with no effect. In fact, after a 20 pound loss pre and post-op, the scale began moving in the other direction. I had a second adjustment two weeks later. My weight loss has been good since then. My prescribed amount of food, USUALLY keeps me satisfied for about 4 hours, though this is not always the case. I have an appointment today for another fill, if I need it. My question is, do I need it?
  23. You'll find lots of friends here, encouraging support and great advice from veterans. Welcome!
