  1. There are ups and downs to going to Mexico...for me it was the BEST decision, but being in Colorado I believe you have a Dr. VERY close to you who does it for a reasonable price....remember there will be times that you may need medical attention and flying to Mexico on the spur of the moment is not always an option....send me a picture, i'm really curious. What's your highest weight? I was about 245 and i'm approx. 5'7" ... i'm a little older than you too, so you may have faster weight loss than I did as well....anyway i'm rambling.

    Countdown to Onederland!

trust me, I understand, i've been at 201 for the past 2 months (during Halloween/Thanksgiving I fluctuated about 2lbs, now the scale finally dropped below 201), i'm happy as a clam, I want ONDERLAND so bad I can taste it...and hopefully it doesn't have any calories! I know once the Holidays are all done, i'll be fine as when sugar is around I tend to graze, but once it's gone I drop (slowly but steady) but when it's around i'm happy to just maintain! Good luck and I know we'll both be there by the NEW YEAR so just enjoy.

    Lower BMI'ers--2008!!!

FYI: Ortiz picks you up at the San Diego airport too, his clinic is VERY nice, like being in a Beverly Hills clinic...just an FYI if that's a priority. I was VERY happy with Ortiz and his staff. They were first class and treated me great. I haven't been back since surgery since I have a fill clinic close by, but want to get back for a check up soon so I can see them all again too.

    For those who have PCOS

Mine is pretty regular now and has been for the past 6+ months....not a perfect 28 day cycle but I get a period every month now! Which is VERY odd for me I have NEVER had a regular period-can't say I really like it either...
  7. I can really see the difference in my face..
  8. Still at 201!! Argh, I really wanted to be in Onderland by the end of September but I've increased my workouts and I feel great so i'm not THAT upset, just a little disappointed. Looking at my before pics really make me feel better. I may be a seriously SLOW loser but the proof is in the pics, it's coming off just very slow and I feel like a new person!!
  9. Thanks but they are such a STUBBORN two pounds! I expected to have lost them by the end of last month and the scale hasn't budged....My band is looser though so i've been contemplating another fill, but i'm really not sure I need one...i'm still not able to eat alot at one sitting i'm just able to get it down easier. I've been really increasing my activity level this past month too so I think most of the problem is the increase in muscle. Let's pray October is a Onederful month!!!!!

  10. My pants are looser, my band is looser but I still have not seen any movement on the darn scale! Another NSV, when I thru my daughters birthday EVERYONE commented on how "skinny" I am now...How can that be and I still am not losing? Hm...

    Countdown to Onederland!

Only 2 lbs to get there and yet those two pounds are really holding on for dear life....drat!
  14. Moon, You are VERY beautiful, inside and OUT! I applaud your willingness to accept your demons and constantly work on making your life better. I know people who live with bulimia and swear they are "better" yet never went to therapy and/or tried any sort of program, in my heart I know they are in denial and are getting better at hiding it. It breaks my heart to see someone in so much pain when life can be so rewarding and full. You are a great example of someone who wants to find that richness in life and aren't afraid of working hard to get there, kudos to you, I wish you the greatest of success and happiness. Renee

Manatee, so sorry for the reflux AND the liquids, I find liquids are difficult during the summer due to the fact that it is just tooooo hot to do soup, I hope you have a better time than I do...good luck and keep us posted as to your progress. Renee

I haven't heard of it...can you give an example of how it works? ARe you JUST drinking milk or putting something IN it?
  17. I haven't been doing so great the last few days as I (do other's experience this much?) just feel like it's tooooo much work (or bother) to eat and so just take a bite of this or that throughout the day, but I KNOW i'm not eating enough...the down side is that I crave sugar in the eves, so I need to get back on track to lose these last two pounds so that I can enter Onderland. On the plus side, I had a great self confidence booster NSV this am. I took my car in for service and as soon as i'm out of the van two very young handsome service men are right at my door to help me. I can't tell you how many times I was just invisible and they just let me wait for the young man I made the appointment with, later after one of the "hotties" helped me the guy who I was supposed to wait for tracked me down in the waiting area to "check in" with me....the expressions on their faces were the ones I remember from my skinnier days and if any of you know what i'm talking about (it's an appreciative look) there's no mistaking it for just plain good customer service. I'm seeing that happen more and more the places I go, customer service is improving!! I think it is just that I am NOT invisible anymore! I really like it.

Wow...congrats! Are you scared? I've been afraid if I get prego what happens to my port? I'M sure it just stretches with everything else, but I can't help but worry.
  19. Lost another lb! I'm in such amazement as this is NOT my norm....thanks again for the advice.

  21. Okay this is sooo weird, but it's working, I dropped 2 lbs since I started this and for me ( A VERY slow loser ) that was FAST! I'm going to keep working this angle and see if it continues...thank you soooo much for the advice!!

Melissa, it's the STRESS (causing the tightness-it happens to me too), please take care of YOU during this very stressful time as it's easy to focus on our loved ones and let our own health decline! Lotsa love, Renee
  23. Thank you for the advice, I am going to give it a go!

    May 2007 Banders

I REALLY hope so i've been hitting the gym hard and trying to get enough food in and water as well so i'm REALLY hopeful to hit it by end of month I think I will stay off the scale so it doesn't discourage me as hope doesn't always seem to work for me. I have gotten rid of any chocolate out of the house as even though I can't eat much I was tending to sneak a treat in the evening and maybe that is slowing my metabolism by wreaking havoc on the blood sugar...keep them crossed for me.:smile2:

    May 2007 Banders

I'm losing again...I know your all going "and what's wrong with that?" It's just weird to me because I try and try and NOTHING and then I lose like 2 lbs just like that! It makes no sense when you do the whole calories in, calories out calculation, but that's always how I work. I weighed Tuesday and was down 1 lb and weighed again yesterday and another whole pound down...usually they go in 5 lb increments so i'll try again tomorrow and see if at least if nothing else i'm consistent. The only things different i'm doing are: trying to nibble more throughout the day (which is hard because I have to break the water rule to do that but I NEED To get all my water for the day in and I can't just drink it all at once and waiting an hour after EACH nibble would be impossible to get it all in) so every time I prepare something for my 3 year old I take a "test" bite and then i'm eating 2-3 almonds after each 'large' meal...(by large I mean more than a nibble, but usually it's less than 1/2 cup of food)(almonds=I read in one of my health magazines that's suppose to help weight loss) Keep your fingers crossed that this one goes in a 5+ lb increment and I reach that elusive "Onderland" by the end of July!!!!
