    Help with ticker, etc

The one that told you you can only have 6 lines is the right place to put it...you just need to shorten what you have there...maybe you have some spaces above it-try deleting any space above the html code you are pasting, then make sure you only have 1-2 lines below it with your actual signature and then see if it works.

At the bottom of the message you want to quote there is a "quote" button-hit that and then type in what you want to say after the word "quote" appears at the bottom of the message. Then just 'submit reply' and it comes up looking like this!!

I saw that too, but he's wrong. According to Body Bugg customer service you can change it...with the $199 3 month subscription of course!! LOL

    BodyBugg Convert

<p> </p> <p> </p> <p>I emailed the body bugg customer service that I had a used body bugg that I wanted to reprogram to my body and to start using and wanted to know how much it would cost to get a body bugg up and running and this was their reply:</p> <p> </p> <p>At this time you must purchase the $199 web only package in order to make use of a pre-owned armband. This includes 2 coaching sessions in which you learn how to use the software and create your program as well as the initial 3-month subscription. After the first 3 months, you can renew your subscription for $15 per month (or there are other renewal options as well).</p> <p> </p> <p>It’s okay to use a pre-owned armband, but you will want to perform a firmware upgrade before you begin using it. This is the link you need for that:</p> <p> </p> <p>http://www.bodybugg.com/firmware.php</p> <p> </p> <p>If you have any other questions please let us know. Thanks!</p> <p> </p> <p>christie j. renick, mfa</p> <p></p> <p>the bodybugg™ team</p> <p>800.656.2739 ext 281</p> <p>info@bodybugg.com</p> <p> </p> <p>So basically when you purchase a new one for $399, the body bug itself is only $200 and the other $199 is for the initial 3 months and then it reverts to only $15 a month. Soooo if you do buy a used one, it is NOT smart to pay more than $200 for it..in fact I (being thrifty) would refuse to buy a used one for more than $180 (then use the extra $20 I saved to go out and buy a new pair of workout pants.) <img src="http://www.LapBandTalk.com/images/smilies/heh.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Heh" smilieid="255" class="inlineimg" /> </p>

That's not bad! For some reason I thought it was $199 for 3 months ?? So if I were to buy a used one and it was programmed to someone elses body, I could simply sign up for the $15 monthly rate and change the programming with the $15 monthly plan - I wouldn't have to pay a huge start up fee or anything? Wow, if that's so, I'm going to go get one! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

I've seen these on sale on Ebay, but if you can't get it for less than $180, I wouldn't bother. AT that point you are better off buying new because if I understand this correctly they are worthless without the membership, isn't that right?

    Support In Oregon?

Hi TJ! I'm considering Dr. Tersigni too. I have actually signed up in Portland (where I live) but if my insurance doesn't go through his price is very good and he has alot of experience and happy patients....were you happy with him? It's a long way to drive for fills etc. (4hours) but better than flying to Mexico or Colorado...you still have to go through all the hoops though even if you're self pay? Does he require you to use his staff or can you choose your own psych, lab, etc?? THANKS, Renee

    Support In Oregon?

You Oregonians have been really quiet for quite some time....i'm fairly new to this site and am in Oregon, so any locals please let me know if you want to chat... Thanks, Renee:)

    Lower BMI Bandsters!

Yes, the price is definitely worth it, I would probably need to find someone in Portland to do my maintenance/fill etc. as it is quite a drive for me...if my insurance doesn't come through I will definitely consider him. Thank you!

Im a mess, I cant stop crying, Please help me

After my biggest heartbreak - I would go to the gym - workout my hardest and chant in my head "pain is preferrable" sounds weird, but it was healing and I lost weight and looked great ( after a year I met my new husband there too) the other thing I did to pass time and work out the thoughts in my head was to go to the local high school track and walk and cry and walk and cry and not stop until I was done crying. I know I looked nuts, but it's better than pacing around the house and eating.

    Lower BMI Bandsters!

I'm in Hillsboro. I went to a seminar yesterday at OWLS (affiliated with Legacy Good Sam) and I think they quoted 20k...if I do a self pay they would Not be my first choice, too spendy. 10k sounds reasonable since I wouldn't have to travel by air, where in Oregon are you?

    Lower BMI Bandsters!

Hi all, I am 5'6" and weigh 238 which is an all time high for me...I've been exercising and dieting myself to a bigger person...argh I really want to get the band and just attended a seminar yesterday, filled out the application while I was there and attached my diet history (as I learned by lurking on this site) and I still haven't heard back (I know it's only been A DAY) but I don't want to wait another day to be fat. I have two insurances - CIGNA (they cover if BMI is 40 or over and 2 comorbits) and BC/BS of Oregon which i'm really confused about - our booklet date 1/1/07 states they do NOT cover the band, but looking through the website further there's an amendment for 1/2/07 that states they do(for 40+ or 35 with 2 comorbits)...so i'm hoping between the two one of them will approve me, but because i'm a lower BMI, i'm really sweating it. I don't know if they consider PCOS a co-morbidity, but i've been suffering from it for 10 years and it is causing my weight to skyrocket...the doctors advice?...Lose weight to get the PCOS under control, PCOS is making me bigger so can you see my dilemna here? My feet, ankles and knees are really starting to bother me as I get older (37-years young) and I have a 2.5 year old daughter who likes to be carried and my back kills me too as I have DDD sized chest too....I hope once I get banded they go down too. I also put on the application that I have sports induced asthma, although I think that was an inaccurate diagnosis and that I have full-blown asthma, but I don't know that that is considered a co-morbidity.. Any advice you can offer would be GREAT....I have seen my PCP, OB/GYN, Psychologists, Naturopaths, Massage Therapists, Acupuncturists, Hypnotherapists and have undergone rapid eye therapy as well as tapping on "points" on my face, chest, underarms and fingers to help me lose weight and NOTHING works...I just can't give up though as I want to be here to see my daughter's children one day and I have Type II Diabetes on both sides of my family (actually both grandmothers had it and both are passed now <both in early 60's when Passed> from Stroke and Heart attack as a result of their poor health) There are so many things I still want to do in my life and i'm too tired to get out of the house for too many hours at a time (having a 2 year old doesn't help as it's a LOT of work taking her out for extended errons let alone long bike rides and/or hikes) Thanks for letting me vent and any advice is greatly appreciated. thx, Renee :clap2:

    Insurance approved!

Thanks will do! If they say no, then I will empower myself to go to Mexico!
  15. Hi I haven't been banded yet, I just found out about it about 4 months ago from my sister who is a nurse and she was telling me how several of the nurses in their hospital were going to Mexico and getting banded. Apparently they are really showing great success and getting healthier by the day. AT first I was sceptical to the entire thing-anything dealing with surgery scares me, but after some research and yes, lurking on this site, I have decided this is the tool I have been looking for. I weigh 240 (5'6") and I suffer from PCOS. I have seen doctors, hypnotherapists, done Rapid Eye Therapy and tapping, I have seen naturopath's and psychologists and I continue to gain. Because I have PCOS losing weight is very very hard and every doctor I have discussed this with tells me that I'm just not trying hard enough. True i'm no gym rat, but I do get in several hours of exercise weekly and I have a two year old, a husband, a dog, a house and a job...so I don't do ALOT of sitting even when i'm not working out.. I really feel I need some help and I think the band is the tool that will help me cut my calories down and reduce binge eating...I realize it won't fix my head, but after all the therapy I have went through (they keep releasing me as healed) I have just come to realize that I just enjoy eating. Like anything else if you do it long enough you develop new habits...this is what I need to help me develop healthier habits by eating smaller portions and on those "bored" days find other ways to entertain myself. I have double insurance, but I don't think I qualify to get this covered, but I have an appointment tomorrow for a seminar and figure I can ask these questions there... My goal is to get down to 135 (I haven't been there since 19) so I can keep up with my daughter and ensure that I will be here to see my grandchildren someday.
  16. Aren't you excited! Good luck I hope it all runs smoothly and you come out feeling great.

    Insurance approved!

I too have a diet journal I have kept for the past 12 months with my monthly weigh in, how I felt and exercise etc...I was wondering if I should try to submit that but I don't know if I can get my Dr. to sign off on it? He's pretty conservative, but I went to him EXACTLY a year ago and had him run tests on me and when I came back a week later he told me thyroid is find, blood sugar is good, blood pressure great. etc etc basically he said that I just need to cut my calories more and exercise harder and eventually I would see some results, I left really disappointed that he didn't offer more help...hello everyone knows that stuff, it's just hard to make it all work! How much is enough? Anyway any advice you can offer on what you did for me would be GREAT! I really want to do this!

New to groups like this and the band

Yes Mexico will be my second option, I figured I would give the insurance a good try (I have both Cigna and BCBS) but i'm below the 40 BMI and I doubt they'll just get out the checkbook and say "go for it" LOL It's alot of money and i'm concerned about where to go for fills and if I have it done in Mexico will my insurance then cover me for anything that may happen after it's done?? (ie: erosion, slippage etc) either way, i'm going to do it one way or the other, I just need to figure out the highs and lows, but I am soooo excited I can't wait to get started.
