Also I use my fitness pal to stay on track, I count calories, measure portions, n have a goal of 1200 calories. My MFP friends are very encouraging n supportive. Again I am far from being perfect but am much healthier than I was before.

I bought 1cup bowls to serve myself in so that I don't over eat n I make sure to have lots of Protein with every meal even Snacks. I'm not perfect but I try cause I don't want to feel hungry. I'll have string cheese with Turkey deli meat, cottage cheese and fruit, a piece of chicken, a salad with egg or imitation crab (these can all b meals or snacks). This helps me stay satisfied longer. I've learned the band is here as a tool but we still have to make good choices. Good luck on your journey

Remember ladies' date=' we love you, our partners, and no matter what, we want YOU. No matter how you feel you look. Overweight, underweight, sick, healthy. We WANT you! We DESIRE you!If we could give you anything in the world, it would be the gift of seeing you through our eyes just for one day, so you could see how special you are to us.
Overweight or not, make love (sex) to your partner. He needs it.
After all, whats 2-3 minutes out of your evening anyway? [/quote']
This post is so sweet!! Thank you for that

Ken the calories burned with cardio is based on averages and comes up incredibly high in comparison to the machine being used and heartbeat etc. I'm in UK but bought a heart rate monitor watch. It cost me £6 and I have worn in at the gym and when it read my pulse it was nearly spot on to the actual machine reading BUT that was up to 200 LESS calories MFP would put it in as. You can use the watch between sets if weights etc too so my advice would be to get a similar device so you can put your own calories burned in x
I change my calories on my fitness pal to match what machines at the Y say. I don't know how many calories I burn weight lifting tho so I just track it under strength but I too would like to know.

Once you start you won't wanna stop. I love going but I start to feel like I take time from my kids if I go everyday. I try at least 4-5 Times a week.

I have been eating ff ricotta cheese with marinara sauce i add in beans' date=' turkey meatballs, groun turkey, cold cuts or whatever I have around. Sometimes I add a little feta or Parma cheese. I just try to be creative.[/quote']
Sounds really good. I'll have to try that. I never eat ricotta cheese but it reminds me of cottage cheese or I imagine it tasting like it.

The trick is finding something you love... I found zumba n absolutely love it. I go at least 3-4 Times a week because it's fun n burn about 700+ calories (by weight n intensity). I also love spending time with my kids n having a good time with them so I take them n my self swimming, bike riding, to play volleyball, softball, tennis. Summer fun of course but it's fun, I get to spend quality time with the family, n I burn calories at the same time. I really don't see any of this as exsersize but instead as having a good time.

Lately I've been having cottage cheese with fruit. I also love egg with grilled bell pepper , onions, and mushroom n a little cheese. Greek yogurt, oatmeal with Water or fat free milk, 1 whole grain waffle with Peanut Butter n jelly, Apple with peanut butter)...I feel u I work 5am to 2 so I always pack a breakfast (7am), lunch (10am) n snack (usually right before I leave work). Packing my meals works out perfect for me.

Although I have lots of Protein ( usually 60-80 grams) I still fit in my fruits veggies. I try having salads for lunch with 1 cup of lettuce or spinach with chicken, imitation crab, egg, ground Turkey or beef. I always try to have a fruit also. Canned fruit with cottage cheese or a fresh fruit. I'm pretty regular. My only problem was right after surgery cause there was nothing to digest from all the liquid

Hi y'all. I was banded January 2nd n I'm down 30 lbs. I've been consistently loosing about 1 1/2 pounds a week but I did go through a plateau for about 3 or 4 weeks. Feeling great! I've been tracking all my calories (or most) on my fitness pal n working out about 3-5 Times a week. How are you doing out there??

It's called daily workout app.

I just downloaded a daily workout app and its FREE. Theirs 5, 8, and 10 minute workouts, for abs, but, arms, legs, cardio, total body. Seems really cool. I'm gonna start trying them out in the mornings before work.

I'm a very busy person working 40 hrs a week, part time school, with a family of six. I also go to the gym about 5 days a week but don't always have time to get strength training in. Does any one know of good modern strength training short videos. I wake up at 3:30 am to get ready for work to b at work at 5:15. I feel bad taking so much time away from my family so I'm looking for suggestions on videos so I can wake up at 3 to do some strength training 2-3 Times a week. I have something called on demand at home that has free videos but not sure what to pick...there's so many choices. Thanks

I'm always lost with strength training but have recently started adding some weight lifting classes n their pretty fun. Juicing for me would add too many calories n sugar. This is me tho n I would much rather have Protein. I've always been that way.

Yes!!! Love, love, love to play outdoor sports with my kids while burning calories...volleyball, tennis, bike riding, swimming, here we come!
-
I go to the YMCA which is very family oriented which I love. I can take my kids swimming and go down the hall for a class. I really learned to love the classes. I do zumba, elliptical, swimming, n weight lifting classes. I am 5 feet and 212 pounds (my highest weight was 252) n I have been going to the gym for about a year or two. I'm there to get healthier n I believe everyone else also not to look at the bigger person. There are bigger people than me n when I see them I feel happy for them cause they are trying just like I am. I have tried the spinning class n it was way too hard for me n only stayed for about 15 min., but riding a bike outside is a lot of fun. You may find something you really love there so I say go for it! Good luck on ur search

I agree with miss73. I egg for Breakfast doesn't do the trick for me unless I add some veggies cheese and ham. I have about 20 grams of Protein per meal plus protein with Snacks or try to. I usually accomplish 60-80 grams per day.
