    How to Sleep After...

    I propped myself up with about 4 pillows on my back. It was pretty comfy n was able to sleep well.

    Ask your doc. My doc sold stuff but I didn't buy it cause I was fine with the protein shakes.
  4. Your work needs to approve for recovery. They don't have an option. You have doctor's note.
  5. My doctor said with this surgery he could give me up to 6 weeks off n I took it. My job is very demanding and I play a very critical role. My manager wouldn't approve the time off before the holidays but was okay with me going in Jan. I had my surgery on Jan 2nd. It is medically excused. I was able to take the first week off with paid sick leave n the next 5 weeks I will get paid disability plus sick leave. I had to get it approved by my manager first n had to fax my approval to HR. I have been very open with my surgery so my manager knows what's going on but HR doesn't need to know ur having WLS they just needed my doctors note which stated "recovery from surgery" hope this helps.

    Oh hunny I'm there too right now n was banded on Jan 2nd. I've been at 219-220 for 3 weeks now n have totally upped my exsersize. It's verry frustrating but I'm wondering if it has to do with loosing weight so fast at first. Idk if that's the case but my cloths does feel looser. We'll get there as long as we keep moving in the right direction, exsersizeing n eating the right foods.

    Does coffee affect your weight loss? I usually drink a cup a day with splenda n 1 tablespoons of non dairy creamer.

    Did you get your sex drive back?

    Me n my hubby have sex about 2-3 Times a week but it's been like this even before surgery. Maybe it has to do with age. I really got a sex drive at about 30 n am now 37. But before that I don't remember wanting it as much. Either way when he wants it n I don't I still let him have the goods so he's not deprived...he's 41 now.

    Out of time

    I think the Wii games with your child.... great idea for work out. I'm sure he/ she would love to take a walk, play tennis, handball, ride bikes, window shopping with you. Wake up 20 min early n do a work out video, or walk on your lunch. I don't know how you do it. I Work full time, n go to school, n have a family of 6 n that alone can b stressful at times. Good luck. I'm sure your hard work will pay off. Just have fun

    weight loss

    I'm in the same boat right now n very frustrated but I think I'm loosing inches. My cloths feels n looks loser. I'm going to start measuring. I worked out 2 hours a day this week 5 days n still didn't loose. Ugh ya very frustrating.

    Need help.

    For me what helps is eating protein at all meals which is suggested by I believe all doctors. Usually about 20-30 grams of protein per meal. My doc suggest I eat at least 1200 calories per meal but I've noticed a lot of bandsters eat 800-1000. My nutritionist said not to go under 1000 per meal. I've been tracking on my fitness pal.

    starvation mode

    So I talked to my nutritionist today n let her know that I have been eating about 1000-1200 calories a day and have been burning about 1400 per day which is more than I consume. My concern was would my body go into starving mode since I'm burning so many calories. She said as long as I don't go under eating 1000 I should b fine but that my doctor recommends consuming at least 1200 calories. She also said I should have a snack before n after workout to hold me through. Just thought I'd share this information with y'all since I had been very curious about this.
