    Veggies???

    I was munching on raw vegetables my third day on solid foods. small bites and chew chew chew. That is what I eat when having a bad head hunger day.
  2. i was in moderate pain for the first 3-4 days but could have went back to my job as a cook, on 5th day if I would have had to. I was thankful I didn't have to though.

    Under 300

    These are my first before and after photos. It took me awhile before I could see a difference in them. More important than the pictures though is how I feel. I feel better then I have in 10-15 years. I don't know which is helping more the weight loss or the fact I quit smoking 12 weeks ago.

  9. Yesterday the scale read 299. The old me wanted to go Celebrate by eating something fatty and bad. How stupid. The new me went out to the driving range and hit a bucket of balls instead. Today I went on a long hike I would never been able to make 4 months ago. I only made it halfway to chimney rock but going to try again the end of the summer. I know I have posted this in a couple places so if it is a repost I apologize. I am just so thankful how things are going I want to shout it from rooftops. Am I bragging? ok Maybe a little but more importantly I want to say lap band can and does work. If I continue to lose it will be because I let my band help me and I helped my band.     How to stay motivated

    These are all things I have read on here. 1 Increase or decrease calories. Not eating enough will slow your weight loss. 2 are you losing inches? If so you are losing. 3 Increase exercise or maybe change it up. That doesn't sound like the problem though. 4 Increase or decrease carbs. when I started writing this there were about 20 things in my head and now I have lost it. Just remember everybody hits plateaus. As long as you are following your program you should start to lose again. You can do this!!!

    Going to the Jim

    I did go to Golf course for the first time and loved it. I only made it the first nine holes and hit a bucket of balls but it was a good workout. Anybody that thinks golf is just walking is wrong.

  18. I quit two weeks after my surgery using Chantix and the Nebraska Quit line. I think it is the second best thing I have done for myself. I am 12 weeks smoke free and breathing better everyday.

  20. I agree with Paris if you are on solids get rid of the soups and eat real food. Eat small bites slowly and chew chew chew. I was told to eat when hungry stop when full. Make good choices in what you eat and you should be fine. I eat alot of fresh raw vegetables when I can't wait til the next meal. Good luck.

  22. So my NSV for the day is... I had to tighten the straps on my sports sandals. Never thought about losing weight in my feet. LOL
