Jalangy, I bought Wendy's chili and put it in my blender (Ninja). Yesterday I made my own chili and I'm having that right now. It's not my regular recipe, but it's so good and 1 cup
Has 170 cals, 6g fat and 12 g Protein. I also went to Whole Foods and bought their chicken enchilada Soup and blended that my first few days on thick liquids.< /p>

    Be gentle with yourself.
Life is about learning how to pick yourself up and go on. Not allowing in a mistake to keep you down.
Celebrate that you are learning and growing.
We all go through the same thing. Over and Over again.
Different situations, same feeling of worthlessness.
And, just as you would tell me, I am telling you. Go easy on yourself.
I made up my mind that i was only fat.
Others have their own crutches - drugs, alcohol, affairs, spending habits......whatever.
..............And I am learning to deal with my problem.
But thanks for posting your feelings. I learned from your post and the others who posted.
I have been beating myself up for the fact that I quit after the first 60 lbs.
I am going to take my own advice and be gentle with myself, acknowledge why I stopped after the first 60 lbs,and simply go on to lose 60 more.
You are on the right road. The first couple miles (weeks) are bumpy. Have faith - it gets SO much better.
You will be smiling in no time.

I am 12 days post-op and I have been doing the Unjury unflavored Protein in fruit punch crystal light. It is actually really good and one scoop gives me 20 grams of protein. Then I get the rest in yogurt and skim milk ect.

I was having the same problem and I got advocare muscle gain Protein Shake and mixed it w 8oz skim milk and 3tbs of non fat powder milk. It is 38grams of Protein. I have it around 7am before work and it literally keeps me full for 6-7 hours. I was so shocked how well it worked and got half of my protein for the day in one shake. My nutritionist was impressed with it also. I can give you my website if you would like to check it out but I love it. Best of luck in your journey!

Welcome! You'll manage terrifically. IF you don't have the book
The Emotional First Aid Kit: A Practical Guide to Life After Bariatric Surgery
I strongly recommend it. Bariatric surgeries fail when people fail to learn new coping mechanisms and make the behavioral changes necessary to overcome their emotional eating patterns. This book is an invaluable resource.
I also recommend using smaller plates, like dessert plates, or even cup saucers to keep your portion sizes under control. Pick up some nice, dense Protein bars. I like the Pure Protein and Premium Protein Bars available at costco. They stick to your ribs, so to speak, and you'll find you won't be hungry again for hours after eating one. Just remember to be patient and kind with yourself and you'll do great.
