  1. Please help! I have 6.75 cc in a 9 cc band. I have lost 60 lbs and was feeling great.

I am in a slump for the past 7 months and am gaining weight because I eat all day.

I can't get it through my head to stop and I feel disgusting!!

Tight in the am and as long as I keep grazing I can eat more and more during the day.

  2. My port started hurting a bit last week. It hurts if I move the wrong way or carry something a bit heavy.

I am scared to death that my port flipped from the things that I have read.

My port has always been sensitive but now there is a pulling every now and then inside. I think now I am hyper sensitive to anything that goes on.

Any ideas what it may really be?

I am going for a fill tomorrow so I will see for sure.

  3. Glad you're feeling better! The first week of my pre-op diet was hard' date=' I slept a lot. I am also taking in ~ 80 grams of Protein, usually through a pre-made shake (my favorite so far is the Premier brand with 30 grams per shake). Try a chocolate flavor shake to see if that helps with your chocolate cravings.

When I'm really feeling rough, I put the shake in a blender with half a frozen banana and a small tablespoon of Peanut Butter and it does the trick. It's super energizing and tastes like a treat.[/quote']

    Thanks Jacqs!

I am definitely going to try some great Protien drinks during that phase. Right now to drink a Protien drink I have to mix it with Water. It's tolerable to a point probably because I used Peanut Butter chocolate Protien mix however it hasn't made me want another one!

  4. I start liquid tomorrow and as a nurse in a prison I am so scared of getting weak I have to have my energy. I am on my feet 8-16 hours a day. I keep telling myself I am do this. It does get easier right????

It's getting easier for me. I am on day 9 of 14 and yesterday was so much better. Everyone is going to handle it differently. I could eat a Protien and veggies 3x per day and was still hungry after, now I am more content. I was use to eating so much before I had a hard time with my reduction of carbs and sugar.

And... I haven't cheated! Although I still want a chocolate bar really bad!!

  5. I have been told many times by doctors and orthopaedic surgeons that Asics put the most money of all the brands into the design of support in the shoe.

I realize everyone has their brand that they like and i did too. However I bought Asics recently and they really support my feet. It has helped a lot with the plantar fasciitis which is now gone.

  6. I am 10 days away from surgery and I am questioning the decision I am making. I don't know if it is nerves or what is going on. Im 6 days into my PRE op diet. Haven't lost a pound. Feeling discouraged and thinking about changing my mind. How do I know if this is the right choice for me.

Becks, I went through a horrible time a couple weeks ago feeling like this. I questioned everything you can think of.. Did I make the right decision, did I chose the right clinic, did I do enough research on this clinic, are the surgeons going to kill me, ... My list goes on and on. I had so much anxiety and panic I couldn't stand myself.

I called the clinic I am going to and let them know how I was feeling. They gave me reassurance and answered all of my questions also consulting with me more.

I am now at ease and my surgery is on Monday. :)
