I think I need to move to a tropical state. Since my surgery I freeze all the time. I can't take this!
-
Just a question, how soon after surgery did you move from 1/2 cup up to 1 cup?

10 mg of topamax is a low dose. I take 400mg a day for severe headaches and occipital neuralgia. I function just fine on that dose. Doctors aren't sure why it doesn't make me sleepy, but it doesn't. I don't think I'd be looking for weight loss pills on the Internet. That's scary. I'd only take what is prescribed by my doctors.

The Golden Butternut Squash only has 2G Fat per 1 cup serving, and it's pretty good. I also tried the Tomato roasted garlic bacon, which is 10G Fat per 1 cup, and it's really good as well. Lots of flavor. I haven't tried any of the others. Here is the link for the nutrition facts

Jennifer,
We had our surgeries on the same day. I too, have been struggling since surgery with weight loss. The first two weeks were great, but since I moved to mushies/soft foods, I'm not losing at all. I'm also finding myself more hungry. I go for my first fill on the 15th (next Friday). I also struggle with very severe headaches which limits my walking at times, as does the weather. I finally went to the YMCA and joined yesterday, but today I find myself snowed in! LOL. I'm hoping to be able to do Water aerobics soon...I have 1 incision that is not healing because the superglue got attached to my hospital gown and it ripped my skin off and it's not healing. (GRRR!!) But the other incisions are healed and look great! It's always something and I'm trying to not let too much get me down. My headaches are horrible and while I am in limbo with doctors trying to figure out what to do with the treatment of those is why I decided to do lap band while I have been off work in the first place. I figured I might as well work towards something productive, so here I am. I have noticed the scale is juggling between 3 and 4 lbs back and forth. I figure it will fall off eventually and stay off when it is ready. Apparently it's water weight. I tend to hold water anyway. I'm hoping the Dr gives me a good fill next week as I am finding myself hungry quite a bit. I'm ready to see the scale move! Try not to get too discouraged, it will happen. We just need to be patient. I know it's hard....because we are so eager...

Unjury ships out by the next business day usually. It ships UPS ground from Virginia. Depending where you are, you should get it in 3-4 business days I would say. I got mine in 2 days.

The shoulder pain was bad the first 2-3 days. After 2 days I stopped taking anything for pain. I am also one who has high pain tolerance. I still have some shoulder pain. My surgery was on the 6th. I also had a hernia repair. I do have some port pain from time to time but overall I can't complain. Hope you start feeling better!

My insurance didn't allow me to stay overnight. And boy let me tell you, I felt like the hospital kicked me out as soon as I was coherent. I was in quite a bit of pain and very nauseated when they sent me home.

Yesterday was 12 yrs since I adopted my partner in crime, Sidney. I can't imagine life without her. We have been through so much, including a horrible divorce 7 yrs ago. She is always by my side. She has been worried about me since I had surgery last week. Today we went on our first walk. I have to admit, I have been ill for the last year with debilitating headaches (occipital neuralgia and Migraines both) and I haven't been the most active person. She really enjoyed getting out to walk. I can't wait until I can walk longer distances, but we walked for 30 minutes. She is always by my side, such a very loving dog. I couldn't have been luckier than to find her. I got her from a shelter when she was barely 6 weeks old. She is truly my baby girl and acts human. Unconditional love. :-) Here's my girl-enjoy the pics.

I am doing pretty good. Down 9lbs & feeling good. First post-op appointment with the surgeon is today. Hoping to get moved to mushies. How has the experience been for you?
I wish I knew when someone replies to a thread. It doesn't alert me. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I'm doing good. Still some gas pains in my shoulder but nothing like they were. I'm not getting nowhere near the 100 grams of Protein they are wanting me to eat. I'm not hungry at all! I'm practicality forcing myself to eat. My first appt is Fri. Did you advance to mushies?

I had surgery a week ago today. Still a bit of pain in my shoulder but I feel good. A bit dizzy at times but I've got major headaches as well (another health issue not related to this). I haven't been hungry at all. I'm getting 50-70g of Protein, have yet to get the 100g of protein they are wanting me to get each day. I'm working on it. Drinking about 64 oz of Fluid. With the headaches it's been hard to start much exercise. My first appt is Fri. One problem I have had is I haven't had a bowel movement yet. And I haven't had any pain meds since Saturday. Hoping something moves soon. I'm on magnesium for headaches so I should have something because on full liquids I've been eating puréed eggs, yogurt, and cottage cheese.< /p>

Just a quick question. I have been getting heartburn some. Is that because I have eaten too much, or what is causing that? Just trying to figure out the soft stop etc.
-
I've been sleeping in my bed, I have a tempurpedic bed, and I sleep with a lot of pillows. I want to sleep on my belly so bad or my side but obviously can't. I'm so glad I have this bed, don't think I could have done it on my regular mattress.
I'm just ready to get past the gas pains and being nauseous.

Congrats! Stay hydrated = most important right now. One day at a time and you'll do great!
Thanks! I'm hoping things will all start coming together. Taking medications I'm finding is a chore and very time consuming.
My incisions aren't even covered and they used "glue" so they are freaking me out a little. They are a little sore but not too bad.

Today I was only able to drink about 60 oz of water/powerade. I had no appetite whatsoever due to nausea. So I focused on staying hydrated.

I think the Unjury cheese is nasty! I sent it back. I can't stomach the unflavored either. I use the vanilla to make smoothies. I use the chicken flavor in chicken salad. It's also good by itself. Tastes just like cup a soup/ broth.< /p>
