  1. Amazing transformation! As I currently look like your BEFORE picture, I find great motivation in seeing what you were able to accomplish. If I can end up looking half as good as you do, I will have succeeded! Thank you for sharing!
  2. It's only 2 weeks out of your life, you can do it!!! You're on the homestretch to surgery now! I was pretty miserable the first few days while my body went through carb withdrawal, but once I got over that, it wasn't awful, and I was losing weight quick, which kept me motivated.
  3. LOL at the 13625 tattoo. Love it!
  4. It's interesting to me that most people want D. I've been DD most of my adult life, up to F as I was on the fatter end. All I have ever wanted was to be a C so I could buy the cute little matching bras and panties. Even at goal weight, I was a D and hated it. I guess we will see what I say when it's my turn at the knife.
  5. Would take a heck of a lot more than a couple feet of snow to keep me from getting banded! You'll make it!
  6. Anyone get a tattoo to cover their lapband scar? If so, lets see em! I think I want to do this once I get close to goal!
  7. I have definitely wanted some stuff during my post op diet, but FEAR has been a great motivator. No way am I eating anything that might cause my band to slip!!!!
  8. Email all recipes to lbtrecipes@gmail.com Thanks!
  9. I already see my mother's hands when I look down, so I'm afraid to know what will happen once I lose the weight!!!
  10. It's like when I used to say "When I have kids, they won't act like THAT!" and my grandmother would say "watch what you say...." I have THAT kid now, and every time I battle it out, I hear her laugh at me from heaven.
  11. I was just not allowed for 2 weeks post op. I weaned myself off of it before surgery, but then I started back on that 14th day. lol
  12. Mine was 1 day liquids, 2 weeks puree, 2 weeks mushy.
  13. They didn't ask me to come back, and they probably should have. LOL
  14. I told dh I needed an anniversary band in the next size down to hold mine on. :tea:
  15. I was allowed to add a small amount of pasta 2 weeks after surgery.
  16. It's always interesting to me what people cheat WITH. At least make it COUNT. LOL
  17. I'm excited that everyone wants a book. But if you don't contribute, it's not going to be much of a book. Right now I have about 8 people that sent recipes.
  18. I wasn't excited about spending it, but I did. At this point, I'm glad I did. But even if I end up failing, there's no reason for me to beat myself up over what's done.
  19. I hear ya. My neighbor is always saying I'm doing it the easy way, I'm cheating, etc. If she really believed that, she'd get the surgery, too.
  20. I get a pedicure every month. Does that make me a bad person?
  21. I used to have a list of these from one of the many times I tried to lose. I can't remember what all I had on there, but I remember one of them was buying all new underwear! And, don't discount the food rewards... my neighbor and I did WW and decided we'd go out for peanut buster parfaits once we both hit 10%. Probably not a good idea to eat one of those, but we WERE eating 3 a week. So, our "agreement" kept us away from DQ for months. LOL
  22. ACK! Last week my daughter had it, which was scary enough. She's old enough to make it to the bathroom and I didn't have to clean up after her. Even still, I stayed in bed all day. Now my 3 year old has it!!! I'm having dh clean up as much of it as I can, and the Purell is staying close but omg. I'm so paranoid that I'm going to start puking!!!!
  23. I have 5 kids, and this is WHY I had the surgery. I was trying to coach soccer and keep up with these kids nearly 100 lbs overweight. I'd like to be able to do that while they're still young, AND be around to watch them get old!
  24. Do you take embroidery jobs on? I have some shirts i need my company logo put on. LOL
  25. I wish I had that problem! I've lost over 30 pounds and STILL haven't gone down a size! GRR! LOL
