  1. Here's an idea I've been throwing around in my head. What if we all contributed our favorite recipes, and then I typed them up into a cookbook. Then I could have them printed and bound and we'd each have one (you'd just pay the cost of printing/binding/shipping, I'm not out to make money, just compile your recipes ). I've done this with a couple of my other internet groups, and I ADORE those books! It's great to have a book with recipes that you know people have tried and enjoyed, not just crap people made up to fill a book, kwim? They wouldn't be anything fancy by any stretch of the imagination, just your typical fundraiser cookbooks, paper with a plastic binding. If there's enough interest, I'll start another thread with the details. If not, I'll go back to my cave. :frown:

    Hair Loss!

I'm losing a ton, too. And my hair was thin and fine to begin with, so I am NOT happy. I'm freaking out, really. I don't know that there is REALLY anything you can do but wait it out. Thankfully it's at least long enough that I can do a nice comb over and then pull it back into a pony tail.

    Good News, Bad news!

I've been stuck at 40lbs for over a month. I might go cry now. So, you see... YOU aren't that person, it's ME!

    NEED a good sports bra.

NEED. Boobs currently 42F. F is for Floppy, I think. Trying to do Couch to 5k on my treadmill, and have to hold boobs up with my hands. Not ideal. Ended up having to shove mp3 player in bra with boobs. Also not ideal. Where'd you get a good solid one? Will accept steel. Just want girls to stay up there while I run. I'm almost to the point where I can tuck them in my pants pockets, but not quite. Thanks for any links provided. And my boobs thank you, too.

    LBT Official Cookbook?

Well, I will tell ya what. I didn't get many recipes for this, but I'll try to forge ahead. I'll pull some stuff off the forums and from my abundance of recipes (I collect cookbooks). I'll come up with something and let ya know :cursing:

    Victorious Valentine Exercise Challenge?

I'm in! I actually got all dressed to go run yesterday and got outside and it was raining. Duh. LOL
  9. So, back in high school, when dinosaurs still roamed the earth, I played soccer. Pretty intensely, like not just for the school. I played on city league in the fall, school in the spring, and indoor in between. Of course, that was four score and 600 pounds ago. I haven't played since then. Now, my soccer life revolves around coaching 8 year olds and being frustrated on the sidelines. I like to lament that I can't play because I'm fat and I'm fat because I can't play. Of course that's not true, but I like my excuses. Anyway, today I had a (photography) client dad that said he plays on the over 35 rec league. He was probably 2 of me and somehow I managed to say "they take fatties?" in a way that didn't offend him (I must have a way with words). He said no, it was fine, they are very laid back, etc. Fast forward an entire hour and I'm on the soccer field coaching my daughter. The other coach also plays on an adult league but he's like super intense and scary. I told him I was considering taking it up again and he got all excited and told me that his team is co-ed, they're definitely looking for more women and the game is Saturday at 5. Um... what the hell did I just agree to??? He could plainly see I'm not in shape, so I guess that's not an issue, but holy crap. I'm going to need to run - without a bear chasing me for motivation. oh my.

I've lost my ever loving mind!

I did it!!! I showed up tonight figuring on telling them I'd try it for a few minutes to see how I do. It's a co-ed team and some of those guys are really big and GOOD. However, it didn't work out that way. They play 4 girls and 4 guys on the field and at game start there were only 4 girls there, including me. So I had to START. EEEK! I played about 25 minutes before someone came and subbed me out. Out of 80 minutes, I probably ended up playing about 70 of them. Running almost the entire time, up and down up and down. I do NOT run. I have not run in YEARS. Like... 20 of them!! I'm as stubborn and competitive as I am out of shape, though, so I think it all worked out. I didn't do anything remarkably good, but I didn't do anything atrociously bad, either. And I didn't die of a heart attack, have an asthma attack, break a bone, or die. So I consider it a success. LOL I will DEFINITELY be doing it again! It was soo fun!!! I highly recommend it. There were girls out there (not on my team but on the other) way bigger than me, so that made me feel a little better, too. :woot: I'm going to be SORE tomorrow though! LOL

How long should I wait for an unfill?

If you were sliming 10 times and PBing, you are probably swollen as hell! My dr recommends 24 hours of clear liquids after a PB to let that go down.
  12. Oh believe me, when I'm doing my thing I don't want kids around, either. There was one screaming in the waiting room at the dr yesterday and I about lost my mind. If I wanted to hear that I could have stayed home.

    Fill day - WHEW

OMG I'm so happy to be driving down for my fill today. When I got this last one 6 weeks ago it was ALMOST perfect. Sadly, it tapered off about 2 weeks ago and I've managed to pack back on 5 pounds from my lowest weight! ACK! I know it will fall right back off, but ugh, this is not the way I'm supposed to be going. I even ate TWO sloppy joes the other night. And though I haven't PB'd, I've come close twice, both times on a hamburger bun. So, I know when THAT is going down it's definitely fill time. It's a 3 hour drive each way to the dr, so it really takes up my whole day, but I'm SO ready!

    Fill day - WHEW

This will actually be my 3rd fill. Hoping its the magic one! My first tapered off fast, the second one lasted about a month. Hopefully this will last longer, I hate this drive!!

    Check in Febsters!

How is it going, y'all? I had been bouncing around the same 2 pounds for WEEKS and then was finally down 2 on Tuesday morning and it's stayed gone. (I think it had something to do with the 400sq ft vinyl floor I installed by myself!) I had my 2nd fill yesterday, 1cc added to my existing 3cc (10cc band). The doctor said this one will taper off more slowly (I sure hope so, that last one was good for about a week and then I could eat an elephant on rye!) and to come back in 6 weeks. Yikes! I'm just now fixing to eat Breakfast, so I don't know how the fill is, yet. No problems drinking yesterday, though, even big sips! (I live on Isopure that first day - it's not my favorite, but neither is hunger. lol) My first big goal is to get in the 190s by our beach vacation, which is in July. 20.4 pounds to go for that, and 3.5 months to do it in. That seems reasonable enough, but time will tell. The big BIG thing happening is my 20 year class reunion in October. I'd really like to show up to that THIN and RICH. I told my husband I was working on thin, so he could work on rich. :huh2: I'd LOVE LOVE to be at goal by then. Man I'd love that. So, that's it from my world, what's up in yours???
  16. I know there's gotta be more of us out there! I thought it would be cool if we could organize a carpool and go down in packs for fills. I live on the west side of Cleveland, so it's exactly 3 hours down there for me. I've done it alone many times, and it's not so bad (I actually find the kid-free time enjoyable lol). Anyone else driving back and forth from Cleveland to Cincy?

    Ack My Pannus!

Probably TMI here, but UGH. I already have major raw going on under my pannus. I still have 60lbs to lose, I can't get PS yet! UGH! I guess it's a good opportunity to go to the dr and start complaining about it so insurance will pay later? I'm NOT in the mood to put up with THIS all summer!
  18. Not yet, but I'm totally freaked about it. My hair is already SUPER thin. I really can't afford to lose a single strand. Yikes.

I've lost my ever loving mind!

I hope you're right. I'm definitely still flexible. In shape, hell to the no.

    Ack My Pannus!

no, Patti, that's a panini. HUGE difference. LOL

    Fill Discussion Thread

That's how I feel exactly! I'm losing, just really slow. But I like that I can eat what my family is eating. I just wish I couldn't eat as much of it. LOL

    Fill Discussion Thread

I've just had 2 fills and have 4cc in 10cc band. I feel like I have almost perfect restriction. I might like it a TAD tighter, but I'm close. I can't eat hardly anything in the morning, a little more at lunch and then dinner I can eat quite a bit. Nothing has gotten stuck, but I do get some not so friendly reminders sometimes. I can eat anything, bread, rice, chicken, etc. Which is good. I'm afraid if I get that touch of fill I think I need, that will end. So I'm torn. At this point I'm losing, so I'm just running with it. :rolleyes2:

    Irrational fears

I was pulling up some vines in our front garden one year when I disturbed a bee hive. My daughter had been walking back and forth helping me relocate some perennials, so I knew she'd be coming back that way soon (she was 7). I ran toward the backyard to head her off. Just as we got to the back store, a bee stung me - right on the ass! (that thing followed me!!) I ran in the house screaming to dh "get it out of my butt! get it out of my butt!" He, of course, had no idea what I was going on about. It must be a wild ride being married to me.

    Irrational fears

I am defintiely with you on the Grand Canyon thing. We went to NC on vacation and dh and the kids climbed to the top of this lighthouse. I was SURE one of the kids was going to get too close to the edge and fall off. I couldn't even look up and wave to them because I was damn near hysterical.
