I can't stand socks. Hate. Would wear flip flops through the snow if not for the weird looks.

When I wake up, before I go to bed, before and after a poop, pretty much if I walk past the scale I get on it. lol

This, to me, is the scariest part of the whole process! My hair is ALREADY so thin and fine. :smile:

All I have are headshots right now, and of course I deleted all but the ones that make me look the thinnest. LOL I plan on having my husband take some of me at the studio (I'm a photographer) as proper "Before" shots.

I'm not sure when I am getting mine, but if I had to guess I'd say in February. SO, here I am. :smile:

I asked that at a seminar once. She basically told me to tank the diet, and just lose a very little. Nice, huh?

I have more of a size in mind, as well. And what I have found after losing weight a few times, is that as I get older/had kids/whatever reason, my body redistributes differently. When I made goal 8 years ago, I was the same weight that I was as a teenager, only I was in a smaller size. Go figure. You definitely can't say "when I weigh XXX I will be able to wear size XXX" because you just don't know til you get there.

If your friend put her family into financial ruins and had her children go without a Christmas in order to get this surgery, her problem is not the band, it's her own state of mind. I think you'll find that most of the people here haven't gone into this lightly. It's not a miracle cure, and they know that. Sounds like your friend didn't do her research, and didn't use common sense before making a life changing decision. There's nothing I would spend my money on before Christmas for my children, no matter what someone said at a seminar.

My apologies for not reading the entire thread before asking this. Did any of you make goal and THEN get pregnant? My dh wants one more baby, and I told him I wouldn't even consider it at my current weight. I have a hard enough time carrying MYSELF around. lol. So I told him if I made goal I'd reconsider. I'm just wondering if anyone has done that and how it worked out. How did your ob feel about the fact that you were banded? How much did you gain throughout the pregnancy? How fast did you lose it after? I'm not even banded yet, so it's all speculative at this point. But this is how my mind works. :rofl:
