Taking the train to Bandland today! Thanks Everyone
Angie4b1g replied to Danikagold's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Glad to hear it went smoothly, my band date sista! -
I don't like fishy fish, either. Cod and Tilapia are pretty mild. I'm super freaked out about hair loss, too. I don't have that much to begin with! LOL
-
I'm 7 lbs more this morning than yesterday morning. WTF??
-
Of course!

If they don't vote Parvarti off soon, I don't think I can watch. I can't STAND her and it was like a slow death waiting for her to go last time. The wounds are too fresh.

Anyone wish they had chosen bypass??
Angie4b1g replied to xokimberlyxo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
The doctor I'm going to does all 3 procedures. His wife has a band. I figured if he does all 3 and that's the one that he chose for his wife, then it's good enough for me. -
I'm still only down 2 of those 7 but I think I know what happened. I started a diuretic for my bp the same day as the diet. I probably peed out the first few pounds, and then reabsorbed them or something. Grr.
-
Well, lets do this! You all start sending me recipes and I'll start compiling them. If there aren't enough recipes/people for an entire book, I'll just send the PDF to whomever contributed and you can just print it out at home. Does that work for everyone? Send all your recipes to lbtrecipes@gmail.com I'll let you know in a few days how many we have! :tongue2:

I'm on the preop diet, so I'm pretty much killing myself. Eating between 600-700 calories a day. I know my weight fluctuates from day to day, so I didn't immediately run to Krispy Kreme or anything. I just didn't even know it was POSSIBLE to gain/retain 7lbs in ONE DAY! lol
-
That's the beauty of it! It'll just be full of great recipes!

Who would type like that on purpose??? -
Well, right now I'm on Medifast and still having to feed everyone. I'm just eating at the same time as they are and honestly, it hasn't bothered me too bad. They're stuff definitely looks more tempting than mine is, but this is a short period of time and soon I'll be able to have more than just tasteless soup.
-
I did some poking around yesterday, and I think we can get them printed for under $5 each. As long as we order 200.
-
My advice would be to start slowly weaning yourself off carbs. I started Medifast suddenly, and the first 3 days I thought I was going to DIE!!
-
Woo hoo! Thanks for the update! Tell us all about it when you're up to it!
-
That soda wouldn't have tempted me at all. Funny, huh?
-
Maybe they're all short. LOL

I don't set formal "goals" really. Just always looking for that next new number ending in 9 on the scale. The 4s are fun too. I agree that it can leave you frustrated to say "I want to lose 20lbs by X" and then that day comes and you've lost 18 and you've failed. It's hard to focus on the fact that you lost 18 pounds!

I am sure you get tired of these ?????s

My first appointment with Dr Curry was Jan 16th. I did the seminar, psych consult, and dr consult in one trip down (2 days). My surgery is Feb 12th. So that's less than a month from when I started. His price includes fills for a year or 2? I think 2. I'm not sure how much he charges if you weren't banded there, but I remember it being reasonable. -
Treadmill VS Elliptical
Angie4b1g replied to bandster_1007's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I like both equally. -
I've also got a bunch of water in the car for the ride home (3.5 hours!). I'll probably bring some broth, too.
-
That is super scary, I only have to do one day of liquids. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to yogurt! LOL
-
Wow, that is a bunch! Good luck to all of you!!
-
Yup! That's for sure! I am a photographer, so the day before I started my preop diet, I made my husband come to my studio and take my before pictures. I took them in street clothes, yoga pants, and then a set in my bra and underwear. They were pretty depressing to look at that day, but when I pull them out 6 months from now I'll be glad I did it.

Thinking of you today!!
