  1. So want to get under 82kg. This morning 82. 81.9 is elusive See what tomorrow brings Have had many wines this evening as in a new area and meeting new friends. A knock on our door! Fabulous peeps! What does one do ? [emoji57][emoji57][emoji14][emoji14]
  2. I am going to swim with the Dolphins in Australia as part of make a wish which has been granted to my grand daughter. She is in remission from leukaemia. Only ten years old. Long may it last [emoji3][emoji3]
  3. Once you get so close to needing just points of a ml, I would say you are very close the green zone! Good luck.
  4. Gosh everyone is soo different. I never feel hungry. The reason I eat is head hunger, or I need to for my body. It has always been like that for me once I hit green zone. Just take note of how your body is reacting to your eating. Take everything slowly. Even the fills. Sometimes .1 ml can be enough. Good luck. Be patient. It can work.
  5. Hello Jane410 I was banded in 2008. Lost the same amount as you and have gradually gained 40. I am 64 and worried about future erosion and want removed. However I am scared I will not be able to control my eating and gain the rest back and more. Like you I also don't want to go looking for trouble. Have been thinking bypass but am so unsure. I would like to keep in touch to share our thoughts going forward.
  6. Have moved house the last two days so been busy. Managed to drink lots of water and keep eating on track. Hope the two glasses of wine a night have not done too much damage. Feeling good.
  7. My goodness, what a journey! I hope I never get them. Because of all these posts I am upping my daily fluid intake. I don't think I make the two litre mark. I am amazed that you tried to work while passing these things. You are one strong lady. Hope you have had no complications after.
  8. Absolutely fantastic. Congratulations for having the surgery and making it work!
  9. Yes I am way off track. So much that I have gained 40 lb! Not sure when it started. Two or three years ago? Gradually gaining and not doing anything about it. So I am reading lots here and gaining motivation and ideas to change my eating habits. I see I have been eating way too much carb, not drinking enough and not enough protein. I have not seen one support person, ie nut or psyc since pre op. BTW I had a lap band in 2008. Things are done very differently over there, and I am finding these discussions very helpful. Thanks for bringing up all these topics Alex.
  10. Going out with my staff for lunch soon after surgery and food got stuck. I thought a mouthful of water would shift it! Oh dear, all it did was make me vomit all this slime that I tried to catch! It continued its way through my hands and down my clothes. Sooo embarrassing, but what a lesson.
  11. Hi I can't see how revision would be any different from the first time. I am considering revision after gaining two thirds back after losing 30kg with the band. Am unsure re sleeve or bypass. I can make the band work but am scared of erosion so want it out. Unsure of nutritional complications with bypass.
  12. Fantastic for nine weeks! What made you choose bypass over sleeve?
  13. Well done. You look great and must feel so good.
  14. Great result. You look amazing. These pics are helping me to decide whether I go bypass or sleeve. Have gained on band. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Wow! Must feel gooood!
  16. Fantastic work. I want to get my band out. Have regained 40 lb after losing over 60. Am thinking GBypass over sleeve but concerned re long term nutrition deficiencies
  17. Gee you look great. I am considering band to bypass as I have regained two thirds of my weight. How are managing the supplements.?
  18. Wow! Crazy goose this is fantastic. Keep up the good work on you. Great to hear your family is being more positive.
  19. How is it going? Are seeing a loss?
  20. Awesome. Hope you are still ok. Might be near the green zone!
  21. My daily struggle gets frustrating. I do well for a few days then something goes off in my head and I end up bingeing on carbs. Could shoot myself I know I can do it as I have in the past. So depressing. [emoji26][emoji26]
  22. Yes it sure can. I ended up in ER when my mum died. The band got so tight I couldn't swallow my own saliva! So I am very wary now when stressed.
  23. I find this information interesting. However I am trying to decide whether to convert to sleeve or bypass. I had a band in 2008 and lost over 60lb. I have regained 40[emoji30][emoji30] Because I am afraid of future erosion from the band I want it out. I doubt I can lose what I have gained without help of sleeve or bypass. I am currently leaning towards bypass. Am seeing a surgeon in May to discuss.
  24. Gee whizz. I have such incredible support from friends and family that I find it amazing that people can't see beyond themselves and help others. I'm glad you feel ok about the safety of the surgery. You have a lot happening and stress is understandable. It will get better so stay strong and focused on you xx
