A few years a (3) I moved from California to the mid west. I love high heel flip flops and wore them every day in Cal. but when I moved to the mid west and wore them people would look at me like I was dressed like a hooker or hoshie momma. All I had on was a t-shirt and capri pants and my beloved high heel flip flops. People tend to dress way down here and it seems to me if your going shopping....at lest put some makeup on and do your hair befor you go to the mall.

Hey glorybee123, Yes I've thought of the prospect of getting more wrinkles,ect as I lose weight too. I would rather a few more wrinkles then be fat. It may make a difference if you exercize also. What day in May is your birthday? Mine is 5-23-53.

Hi Thor, You sound like you are doing really good on your liquid diet. A number of different factors could make your weight change. That time of month,retaining Water, ect. Just hang in there....you are doing good. Penny that dreamsickle recipe sounds really good, I'm going to try it. Terry

Ok girls.....Its my second day at the gym. My ass is so sore I'm surprised I don't have a fever from it. No pain no gain.

Well.....today was my first day back at the gym. I'm hoping this will kick start my weight loss. Has any one else started the gym? One thing for sure....I'm not giving up girls.

Can you multi task? I have noticed its much easyer....as I get older. I can laugh, cough, sneeze, fart, and pee all at the same time. I'm just saying.....things just aren't the same as they used to be. :eek:

Isn't there some kind of protein powder I can get that I can just put food or soups? I don't like milk or yogart.

Yes I have had them. I got them about 10 years ago. They were 18 inch,100 per cent real hair. They braided my own hair and sewed the hair extensions in. They lasted for about 3 or 4 months. They worked great, but they seemed to tangel a lot. I couldnt handle all the tangels so I never had them put back in. I paid 1000.00 for them....they werent cheap at the time I got them.

What about getting someone really good with a camera to do pet portraits. People love their pets. Find an art studet or someone to do calligraphy on a picture frame/ matting, you could sell those as well.

I think if we all unite....hold each others hands, so to speck we can really help each other. I know the band is just a tool; one that we all paid a lot of money to have. I thought the weight was just going to fall off I guess....wrong.

I guess I qualify for this thread. I got banned jan.22 2007, only lost 30 lbs. But....if I continue and lose 30 lbs this next year I will only be 10 lbs from my goal. Every day I weigh myself and write it down.This really seems to help.I will have my big butt at the gym monday morning....I promise.

I went on a liquid diet but I did have a little trouble staying on it. I don't like protien drinks, nor do I like yogurt. So....I only lost 4 lbs befor my surgery.

I had my sugery done in Mexico. It was the best money I've ever spent. I do however get my fills done in clinton by dr.r. I am doing ok with my band. Its kicking my ass today, but most days we get along. I have only lost 30 lbs but if I lose again this next year I will only have 10 lbs left to lose. Would you like a recipe for a really good tomatoe soup? It easy and all liquid. Terry

I have lost 30lbs in 1 year. Ok, I know thats not great but if I do the same this time next year I will only have 10 lbs to go to my goal. I tried to eat a salad yesterday and today the band is kicking my ass. After throwing everything up, (all my pills) last night nothing is staying down. I'm going on a liquid diet for a few days.

Hey Green, You really had a lot of good ideas. I just bought a picture frame today that is just plain but on the matting below where the picture would go it says,( to err is human, to purr, is divine.) Something like that would be great on t-shirts or anything. For posters she could say thing like, ( to err is human, to purr is divine,adopt me and save my life.), or ( I'm your purr-fect friend so adopt me and save my life.) crazy4catz74....I hope you get many more ideas from people. What about a bar-b-que? You could sell hot dogs and a soda for like 2.00. It doesnt have to be at the shelter, it could be some place else. What about a bar-b-que selling pork chop sandwiches. I'll keep thinking about this and get back to you. good luck, crazycat

Ladies....You all are just too funny. :eek: Getting 2 dollars off for an oil change on senior citzens day was a hoot. Does'nt is seem that everything started going south in our 50's? The 40's seemed just fine. Now I'm starting to wonder about whats going to happen in our 60's....besides socal security,medicare,ect. I guess I can quit asking myself if I'm a grownup. :girl_hug: My husband is 8 years older then myself and he was buying senior lunch tickets to get a discount where we eat out at alot and the really old lady asked if I needed one too. My husband laughed, but I did'nt.I have always looked young for my age. I'm hoping the old lady had really bad eye sight. Here's something else.....I'm having a little trouble relating to some of the younger tv shows too. My mom says that even though she's 70, she in her mind does'nt think she is.

After losing a few pounds, and having my 55th birthday on it's way soon (may) , you just start looking in the mirror a little less hard at your self. Things are just starting to get a little lose......ladies. I was out shopping in Hobby Lobby with my aunt the other day looking for a small table mirror. I picked up the mirror....held it down by my waist and for some reason at that moment while looking down I decided to check my lip stick. For a split second looking back at me was not me but someone that looked like Betty White. You know ...of the Golden Girls. I said to my aunt, Oh my God I just saw Betty White in the mirror,dimples and all. She started laughing and took off in a flash for the bath room. When she came back I told her that I think its time for a hair style change. By the way, my lip stick was just fine....no lines running up to my nose. I told my Mom that I think I'm getting old. She said well I'm 20 years older then you....how do you think I feel. I said, Like Maud's Mom? Has anyone else had something like this happen to them? Crazycat
