  1. MercedesRed. I just realized you said your surgery is Tuesday as well:)) Good luck girl and we are really going to do well I have to stay positive and just do everything the Dr says to do that way hopefully I can get this together. Stay in touch and let me know how you made out. Have a good day.

Thank you. Yes we will do well. Lets stay in touch

I am so excited. Enjoy your weekend. Next week - new lease on life!! Lets do this!!!

  2. So the craziest thing about this liquid diet is that I'm not usually physically hungry. When I get hungry' date=' I drink a shake and it really does curb my appetite. I just find myself dreaming of eating things. Someone will make a statement like "going to grab a bite to eat and then I'll be there" and I just think "wow....eating. How nice." I never thought I was an emotional eater but I have now definitely realized how eating and food have filled a void for me. After several weeks on a liquid diet all of my former bad habits will be broken and when I start on solids again, it will be like relearning how and what to eat!!!! Just can't let myself be tempted by any of the bad habits so they don't become habits again!!!

    This has been deep thoughts by Molly. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />[/quote']

You are so right!!! I am on day 8 with surgery being in a couple of days and now that I've reached this point the shakes really do work and keep me satisfied. However I've been dying for some popcorn and slipped and ate some and I feel miserable. That is a learning tool for me. Just by eating it it doesn't agree with my system at all. Back to my strict pre op diet and with a smile. It just shows me that I am an emotional eater and that my body really doesn't agree with certain foods, although I have been eating them all my life. I am excited about my new lifestyle. I have already lost 10lbs in 7 days just on the pre op diet alone. #learningasIgo

  3. Great job! It's best to have a head start before the pre-op hits you like a freight train! I have been on liquids for 11 days now and my surgery is this Friday 12/14 at 10:30! Now it's just liquid in- liquid out' date=' but I feel so good![/quote']

Great job!! I am on day 6 of the pre op diet and I really feel a difference. Looking forward to my surgery next week.

You will do fine. We have to adjust to the new and healthier lifestyle that is before us. As long as we keep the faith and have support. We will be good.

  5. Congrats on getting is far. In my opinion it's the hardest time... You will do just great on your journey

Hello. I am new to the discussion. I am on day5 of the preop diet and man oh man this is truly complex. My first three days were miserable but know it is getting better but my mind wants all kinds of things. So during this phase I am training my mind to eat healthy and prepping for my new life. Surgery is December 18.
