It didn't hurt me, but I chewed like crazy and went really slow. Rumbles, yes... burps, yes. But no pain. So make sure you take your time!

(PS: I had Wendy's chili and it was fine. My NUT told me to stay away from scrambled eggs at first, yours may vary. I also pureed bean and ham soup for wonderful savory flavor and decent protein, you might want to try that if you don't have religious structures against pork.)

And I think this does have to do with weight loss... the emotional weight off your shoulders as you escaped this horrible abuse! Not all weight is physical...
