I think Moderator Marie is editing DeLarla's posts!!!!!!! Bad mistake, woman! hahah, actually, maybe I did hit the wrong button since I'm not having fun with the new format. I can't even get to all the new posts. The list isn't updating. How do I get to them?

12 of anything in one day is what got us all in trouble in the first place. I was a major Diet Pepsi junkie. It was hard giving it up, but the band helped me kick a 30 year habit. I'm DP Free, and I don't miss it. I do miss having a sip of my husband's real Pepsi from time to time, but I fight the urge. Why start something I may not be able to stop? The band is just a tool, not a fix. You have to be willing to let go of old ways, or it's not gonna work. I'm still eating too much, eating too late, eating poor choices, but it's progress, not perfection.

What happened to my earlier response? Did one of the new moderators delete it? That's never happened before on LBT. What gives?

Never give up. It's totally normal to freak out before surgery. I was supposed to be on a low calorie diet for a week, but I was only good for a couple days. I binged instead. Right after surgery I felt too gross to eat. I wasn't ready to eat anything for at least a week. Right after getting banded, I was afraid to eat. It was fear and discomfort that kept me from eating, which is what started me on my way to 60 pounds of fat loss. Keep your chins up (haha, I can say that cause I have several chins.)

Awe, Sachi really does love that boa! Do you believe I'm still finding boa feathers? I just picked 2 off the front porch yesterday. I pick one up and two more fall from the sky.

Any One Up For an Exercise Challenge?

Betty, what the heck are you doing? Where are you? This is the first I've even heard you're back from surgery. APPARENTLY EVERYTHING WENT WELL YOU LITTLE BANDED VIXEN!!! CONGRADS! -
I didn't really drink a pitcher of salt water, however, after a salty day, I find myself more restricted. Water retention does it for me. And I've only had 1/2 of one drink since the bash. I wasn't planning on drinking at all, but Sunday's motorcycle ride took us through a wind storm that scared the *&^*$$@ out of me! We still had to get all the way home, and since I wasn't driving, I had half a drink for the road to prevent heart failure! Sorry, but that wasn't fun for me - I thought we were gonna go up in a tornado, bike and all!

I came here to see if there's any info on Betty's band... has anyone talked to her? Gosh, she should be all banded by now - far out!

I can't even wear any of my new cute panties. What's the use putting them on when all he does is yank them off? Hey, I didn't start it, SHE did! But yes, it certainly counts for exercise. -
One, two, cha cha cha. Being wild is just a state of mind - beats boring any old day! Darcy, you should see my fancy port incision now. A doc told me to use Glutian Violet. It's dark purple liquid that makes my boo-boo look like a bright purple blueberry. It's supposed to promote healing. Matches the tiara beautifully.

Any One Up For an Exercise Challenge?

Exercise challeng met. Took mutts for 45 minute walk around park then did a little upper bod on my machine. -
So you had restriction all along but suddenly it's gone? How long has it been gone? That's happened to me a couple times, but as soon as it left, it comes back. Just have a pitcher of salt water. That water retention will kick the restriction up a notch. I'd make a great doctor, right. Don't even think of listening to me!

You'll be forgiven after 20 minutes of banana aerobics. You have about 14 minutes to go. -
What kind of lies is that scale telling you? Are you still losing? If so, believe it. Sometimes we think we eat way more than we really do. I didn't take your band. I think Penni has it.

Excuse me, but there's a whole nother thread devoted to whining. Now you must dance like a banana - that's exercise. 20 minutes on any machine is fantastic. We have to remember that compulsive behavior got us fat, so there's no need to kill ourselves with exercise. Moderation is the key, and 20 minutes is great. -
Darcy, I'm gonna edit that post cuz it would be creepy if you were thinking of me! I know you like all that goo and gore. I was thinking of you the other day. Chuck and Julie are 2 of the people we ride with on Sundays, and he just proposed to her. They are both Cops. Someone asked Julie how they met, and she responded, "Dead Body." They were both called to a murder scene, and she said, "we're cops, that's the kinda stuff that turns us on." They're getting married in March.

It is a very lonely place indeed... but they are starting to wake up. Soon, we'll get our fix soon!

When they removed my port, the accidentally took out the Lap Band Detector. That's how that damn pie got by. No exercise today - the phone rang and it was a recorded message, "You have just completed the exercise portion of your life." Okay, so that was a dream, but let a girl dream, would ya? -
It's 5:30 a.m., and I'm already back. The adrenaline, the fear, and the anxiety... what if the site is down? Then again, what if it's NOT! Breathe, breathe.... deep sigh of relief. What a rush!

I've been quiet lately. It's because I'm sick with addiction. I was on my way to a Lapbandtalk Anonymous meeting to accept a two-day chip, but then I logged on. My work Christmas party is scheduled for December 11, and during the party, my boss passes out bonus checks based on performance. I'm ashamed, very ashamed because I no longer work, I just post. I was able to get the band based on a Christmas bonus that I have yet to earn. Post post post post post. All post and no play makes Jack a dull boy. POST. post. PoSt. pOsT. Post post post post. P-O-S-T poster POst POST p.o.s.t. postpostpostpostpostpostpostpostpostpost. Tall guy, will you be my secret band boyfriend? All our secrets are safe in here. Do you mind that I pee my pants every time I log on? It's Darcy's fault. Just picturing her picturing my port while she's supposed to be picturing her hubby doing her makes me tinkle while simultaneously shooting Water out of my nose. I'm very attractive.

Rebecclee, tomorrow I'm donating 10 minutes of exercise towards that 40 minute debt you have towards your husband. Can I get three more volunteers to give up 10 minutes of yours to help her catch up? -
I don't have problems with any food, as long as I take small bites and chew really well. I even eat bits of bread. I only have problems when I try eating as fast as I used to. Woof.

Hi Kim, what a great story to hear that everything has gone so smooth with you so far. Let's hope this is a sign of things to come for all future bandsters. Good luck with your surgery. Look forward to seeing you on the other side.

Darcy, an hour plus is an awesome walk. But next time, don't kill yourself over a bowl of ice cream, just share it with the dog. But I know how you feel because Friday somebody left a chocolate pie here. I was so proud all day Friday for not eating a piece, but the evil pie was still here today, untouched, and a hunk fell down my throat. Whatcha gonna do when they come for you Bad Boys? -
Any One Up For an Exercise Challenge?

I met the challenge this morning. Took doggies to the park when it was still dark out, and it was still dark when I got home. Then did a few arms on my machine. Then I ate at large piece of chocolate pie and put myself in the red again. Oops.
