My husband always gets sick from Panda Express but can eat other types of Chinese food and hes been banded two years now.

I felt mine was swollen too. It has gone down now, I am two weeks post op. My pants would bother it and put pressure, I just wanted to be in my jammies.

I didnt keep it a secret from family or co-workers. Although Im still a newbie I have not had any negative feedback. I actually needed some advice before having the surgery and some of my co-workers are good friends. Many co-workers are very interested in my journey. In fact another co-worker is in the process of getting surgery herself. We went to our lap-band siminar together. Good Luck with your choice. -
Thanks, very inspiring. I know we will all have our quirks in this new journey. Yesterday was one week since surgery. I feel so much better.

Welcome I too was banded on the 28th. I am feeling better just all this gas kills me. If its not in my shoulder it is in my stomach. Icy-hot patch worked today. -
I think you need to talk to your husband and expalin to him why you need to use your band and the gym. Its your life, your health etc. I know its hard to do but you went through the surgery and that was the biggest step. I know when I was younger I took my kids to the school and walked around the field why they played.

Post-op day # 3. The gas pain in my shoulder was hell. It is almost gone now. Moving around pretty good now. First night I slept in the recliner then moved to the bed the next day. Im tolerating my liquids and soft food. Just alot of gas in my stomach still. -
I believe everyone gets it done. The Dr. needs to see whats goin on inside before surgery. I had to have a EGD, Stress test, Colonoscopy, sleep apnia test, blood test, the list goes on. But at least I know im healthy just fat. haha

Yes very common, I also have a 2 cm one that will be reapired on friday my banding date. Ahhh getting nervous. The EGD is no big deal. I know were all nervous for any procedure. I was asleep for the whole thing. I had a sore throat for a few days. Good Luck.
