  1. I get really bad pain in my left shoulder/neck if I end up eating too much or too fast. Instead of getting a full tummy the pain is reflected through to my shoulder and neck. My doctor told me if I didn't have the lapband' date=' instead of getting shoulder or neck pain I would probably have really bad heartburn/reflux/indigestion. I've never had any of those problems before, but I assume my neck pain is better than getting that :) Not sure if it's the same pain as you, but just thought I'd share incase someone else gets this pain.

    :)[/quote']

Maybe this I why I am getting the should pain 2 weeks post op - ill have to see if its happening when I drink'eat' too much.. Not worried tho.

    Thanks!

  2. Did you also have hernia repair? That is linked to shoulder pain as well as the gas. I found' date=' even if I didn't have gas in the morning, if I still took my gas x chewable then an in the evening, it really helped the gas stay at bay and eased the pain. Good luck!![/quote']

I didn't have hernia repair.. I think I just over exerted myself before healed.. Was told would need to walk a bit today but turned out to be over an hour hike up hill ..... Then again back. The shoulder pain has already passed with rest

  3. I had it pretty bad until about day 4 or 5, on an off.

I used Voltarin emugel on it which really helped.. Am in Aus so may have different product

I am 2 weeks post op and have been getting it randomly when I've been overdoing it and straining myself.. Which is really weird because it is meant to be from gas pains.. Anyone else had this?

  4. Elodie.landerson mentioned them in a post on the 2nd or 3rs December. I was going to ask dietitian about this and more in mosay

    Elodie said:

-Sweet Potatoes- Sweet potatoes unlike most other vegetables are higher in calorie content but are worth all of them. Sweet potatoes contain resistant starch, which produces compounds to signal to the brain to stop eating. The bulk in sweet potatoes fills the stomach so you feel full. Carotenoids in nsweet potatoes stabilize blood sugar levels and lowers insulin resistance.

  5. Hi everyone

I've been looking for good apps to use... So far I like MyDietDiary - it's great for tracking weight an calories. (I'm in Aus but think you can get this app all over)

I am going to try the couch to 5k app when I can run too - it looks fantastic.

Any other useful apps or websites you have come across in your journeys?

  7. Hey everyone I had surgery on Monday and have been recovering really well.. Had gas pains, was a bit sore and sleepy from the anaesthetic.

Last 2 days have felt great and probly been more

Active than I should be.. I went to work today for a few hours, then I was baking cakes for an epic birthday cake - a lot of benign down and up.

About an hour ago I had an aggressive stab of pain in the left of my belly like something is pulling. It is really sensitive and can barely sit down without agony and feeling like I have pulled something - and that's after prodiene forte.

Is this common / should I just take it easy? Or should I be heading to a gp first thing in the morning (Saturday).

Also the bruising has gotton worse around the bigger Bandaid ill try and add a photo - dont know if this is normal or i should be alarmed - my surgeon didnt talk about any of this!

    Thanks for your help!!
