I'm not bloated and the swelling is minimal at night. I feel like I can eat a whole cup of Soup.< /p>

So here's my issue....during the day I have a hard time drinking or eating. I feel really bloated or just full. I'm 11 days post op and I'm on thick liquids. I usually start my day with a Muscle milk Protein Shake 8.25oz 100 calories. I never finish it in one setting. I sip a bottle of Water for hours. My next meal would be some type of Soup. I measure it in 1/4cup containers. I usually have some left over and feel extremely stuffed afterwards. After about an hour I start sipping that same bottle of water. I may try more soup 4 hours later same story can't get it down. On e I go to bed around 9pm I alsaays wake up extremely hungry. My stomach is t bloated the swelling feels monimumal at this time I can finish a whole bottle of water in the matter of minutes. What causes this or do anyone else have this problem

Thanks ladies! Sometimes I feel hungry so I sip a cup a Water then I realize I'm actually hungry not just thirsty. So I wasn't for sure if I should just wait or go ahead and try eating

Ok so I understand I shouldn't eat and drink I also know no drinking for 30-60 minutes after eating. So what about drinking before eating?

I was banded Thursday and the only thing getting to me is the gas. I've tried everything I was told but still nothing helps. What makes it do painful is when I get a gas bubble that wants to come up as a burp it moves to the left side of my neck and it hurts like hell. It almost make me want to stick a tube in my neck to let the air come out! Hang in there we can do it! There are many before us and many to come.

So I was just banded on Thursday December the 6th and it's day 2. The first day was horrible the anestisia gave be nausea and vomiting but after calling the doctor he assured me it was normal and I should be ok. For the past 2 days I have been on full liquids. Drinking broth' date=' tea, popcicles, sugar free Jell-o. Today I tried cream of wheat and my protien shakes. It wasn;t too bad. I don't really feel restricted but I do feel tired. I have been walking around and taking me medicine but since this afternoon I have been finding it hard to stay awake. Did anyone else feel tired?I had two protien shakes, apple sauce, 5oz of cream of wheat, tea, a popcicle and Water. So I don't feel dehydrated but I do have a headache.
I am looking forward to getting back on track for my exercising. I had signed up for a 1/2 marathon in February after completing my first in October, although I am worried about if I will be able to complete it. I feel short winded standing up and catching my breath just light cleaning and running errands. Maybe I am doing too much.
I am hopeful and excited in this weight loss journey and have found it to be successful when in a group. It makes me accountable for my actions. So if anyone would like to join together as a group I would not say no.
I just can't wait till two weeks from now when I can have semi soft foods like Soup.

I was banded on the 6th also! I'm not tired but I have the worst gas ever. Nothing I do is moving it.

I am using True Results in Houston and was banded 4/26/12. Durning my first "adjustment"/fill the nurse told me that my dr. had given me a 3cc fill during surgery. She said that my dr. typically does this to give a head start.I just make an appoinment for my follow up visits. The visits are scheduled when there are openings..they are very busy and so you have to basically take what's available. Good luck to you.
Who's your doctor?

I guess my problem is I would rather eat during the day when I'm active verses late at night when I'm resting.
