See above. I saw him today

Thanks everyone. Went to the dr today and good news he thinks it's stress too due to my dads passing. Back on liquids for a week and then mushies for a few days and everything should be back on track. And somehow lost 4lns since my last visit in late August! I'll certainly take that. Considering if my dad had passed pre lap band I would be on a slippery slope of emotional eating hell.

What was the actual problem with the band? Do they know what happened and why it had to come out? Wasn't sure from your post and I like to be informed. Sorry you went through that. I had major complication after my son was born via emergency c section and spent 6 weeks on a wound vac so I know from personal experience those are not fun at all! Hope you are on the mend now.

Thanks everyone. Just hoping its stress and will fix itself .... Doing some on line research and hoping the band didn't slip . But have vowed to stop looking on line and wait until my appt on Monday.
Thanks for the warm wishes for my dad. He was a good man and was taken far too soon!!

I am 10 months out and have yet to get a fill. I am one of the rare people that have had restriction with just the band. In any event in the last 10 weeks I have yo-yo'd the same 4lbs and am pretty much exactly where I was mid August. But my main Concern is EVERY time I eat now I get stuck. Had anyone else experienced this? It's been happening for a week and I have an appt on Monday. I have been under a tremendous amount of stress and my dad passed away a few weeks ago. Can stress cause the tightening of he band even without a fill?? Any help anyone can lend in advance of my appt on Monday would be greatly appreciated.

My son was three and to too it off my husband had a heart attack 3 days after my surgery. Then on the 4th day my dad got admitted to the hospital so I lost the help my mom was giving me . But somehow I made it through. You will do great! As far as recovery I found this MUCH easier than c section recovery! Good luck and I promise you, it's much easier than you think it is. I was worried sick about it and then when the support group unfortunately went away very quickly it was all ok. Hardest part is making a toddler understand not to jump on the belly

I've had the band since 12/14 and have lost 81 lbs and have been pretty proud that I have been doing this without any fills. But this week I somehow have gone up 4lbs! So I think it may be time for a fill as I 'grazed' all day yesterday and when I added it up... To my shock it was 1600 calories!! I haven't had a day like that since I started. I always stay between 1000-1200 a day and have only drank a handful of times since I have been banded, but it just may be time. Was hoping my sheer will and exercise ( I run 3-5 miles 4 days a week) would have been enough. Truth be told 9 months in I am actually scared to get a fill- does it hurt?

Cigna denies almost EVERYONE upfront. I was in tears the day I got mine. Then my primary dr just sent a new updated letter and two weeks later got my approval. Hold tight, it'll happen!

Non scale victory . I'd tell you about the green zone but not there yet . Apparently when you hit just the right spot of eating smaller portions without the hunger etc...

Although the scale has remained the same for a weeks.... This is a message I sent to all 400+ of my FB 'friends' but thought it would an even better post here. . For those of you who have noticed, I have been more active lately. I never wanted to pick up running because I didn't want to be slow or last and that fear has always held me back. Well I just ran a 5k and my oldest biggest fear was just about to happen. I was almost last, but instead of walking, giving up or beating myself up I just kept going!! And you know what the pit in my stomach went away and I finished with me head held high!! Life is all about challenges. We are only judged on how we react to them. Thanks for my family and friends who have been so supportive of me while I get my health on track. I really do love you all!!! And as everyone knows I do always have to add some sarcasm . As I rounded the 1/2 way mark and thoughts of the old me were rearing their ugly heads I heard my dad with more of his nonsensical 'logic'.... You know what they call the person that graduates last in their class in medical school..... Doctor Thanks for the words of wisdom dad they came in handy when I needed it most!! NEVER EVER give up AND I was much faster than last year when I was sitting on my couch

Thanks everyone for the good advice. Had a lot of Water last night and went to the gym this am for a run and then did my week weigh in and was only up .6 . I actually pay WW so I can go in every Friday for an 'official' weigh in. Worth the money for my sanity and accountability

Been steadily losing since being banded on 12/14. And for the last 7 weeks just fluctuate the same 5 lbs. and this week I have been religious with working out and eating my 1000 calories and 60 grams of Protein and the scale says I am up 4 lbs WTF. I have only eaten 7000 calories for the week and 4 lbs is 14000 calories. How is this even possible. I have yet to get a fill and maybe it's time??? Just very frustrated

First dr I went to would only do bypass on me so i left. Second dr highly recommended bypass for all the reasons you mentioned. He did perform the band on me as I told him I knew I could do it and wasn't taking the risks associated with bypass. I will let you know that I remind him monthly how well I am doing . Just Monday I had my 6 month visit where I am down 68lbs and still no fills!!! You got this. Find the dr you believe in and more importantly find a dr that believes in you!! And believe in yourself!!
Had a rough few months but back on track

The last 7 months have kind of been a blur, my dad died and my husband and I have separated. So a lot of big changes!!!! I am thankful that even without any fills I am down 87lbs in almost 14 months. And that includes loosing the 15lbs I gained after my dad died. The difference this time is I am not going to beat myself up anymore and I will concentrate on the progress......
Day before surgery
Before a 5k last weekend
