  4. My scale finally moved this morning after more than two weeks! I was getting really tired of seeing the same number!
  5. Some shrimp - the Gortons skillet sensations from the freezer section, so good! And some steamed veggies.
  6. HW 277 SW 270 CW 225 Been stuck for two weeks. DOS 6/6/13
  7. I'm a burper. But I've heard of the runny nose or sneezing.
  8. I could hardly eat or drink and what I did usually came back up.
  9. So being that I'm trying to get into dating again....when do you "admit" you've had weightloss surgery!? I'm not at all embarrassed. But trying to talk my way out of meeting for beers or pizza isn't easy. It seems like everything revolves around alcohol and food. And so many people attach such a stigma to the surgery itself.
  10. I feel behind too but my doctor says I'm not. HW 277 SW 270 (6/6) CW 225 I'm 5'6"
  11. I guess I've been lucky. I haven't had trouble with anything I've tried. Lately I have been eating a lot of salad but always with a protein - usually chicken, steak or shrimp. I also do a lot of yogurt and cheese. Eggs work well for me. I don't like bread anymore. It doesn't make me sick but sits really heavy. I can occasionally do a flatbread or tortilla.
  12. My doc said I can take anything that doesn't have any NSAID in it. NyQuil or something should be fine.
  13. The liquid is probably my downfall. I used to chug water. Now that I can't it's so hard to get it all in.
  14. Yup doing exactly what my NUT said. 600-800 calories, at least 65g protein and no more than 45 carbs.
  15. How on earth have I gained 4.5 lbs this week?!?! I wanna cry.
  16. I went thru this 3.5 weeks after my RNY. I was starting to think I was the only one! The second surgery was so much worse for me recovery wise. I'm back to normal now tho.
  17. The corner of a scone from Starbucks.
  18. I found protein bars that are like wafer cookies! 200 calories, 15g protein and only 5g sugar. They're called Power Crunch Protein Energy Bars. This morning I had peanut butter fudge.
  19. No way could I give up coffee. Luckily my team still allows 2 cups caffeinated a day....or else I'd die, haha.
  20. I always knew I had a weight problem, but it wasn't until I started paying attention to what I looked like in photo's my ex's mother took. I never took photos that included my whole body, just the shoulders up. She took pictures of people standing next to each other. I was always the biggest person in the photos. I had been thinking about the surgery for years, but those photos sealed the deal for me.
  21. Hope things get better for you! I had the same issues but further out and had to have a second surgery. I don't wish what you're feeling on anyone - but I promise it gets better.
