  1. Looked for tall jeans at the mall yesterday...two people sent me to xpress, and they only go to size 12. Didn't go there, but it was nice that people thought I would fit in a size twelve skinny jean. In April, I wore a 22/24! By the way, does anyone know where to get tall jeans? At least Lane Bryant had those. When I was thin before, I wore lee jeans, but I can't find tall ones except online. I guess I'll have to try one short ones for fit, and then order the tall ones online. Wish I could go to goodwill...this is expensive.

Ny&Co also has jeans in different lengths and goes up to an 18.

  2. I'll chime in also. I'm almost six months post op RNY.

Very few foods make me sick. The only one that does every time is broccoli. It always comes back up. I can do broccoli Soup because it's more or less pulverized but raw or cooked broccoli in any other form doesn't jive with me.

Every doctor seems to have different rules. That doesn't mean any doctor is right or wrong. Follow the plan your doctor laid out for you. I'm allowed to eat any food I can tolerate at this point. The only real "rule" I was given was a minimum 60g Protein and 64oz Water a day. I'm also allowed to have a drink or two if I want. I can also take NSAIDs as long as I stay taking my Nexium.

No two people lose weight the same. Don't compare yourself to someone else. My surgeon said that typically you lose 10% of your remaining excess weight per month. A person with a higher starting weight will lose more per week or month than someone with a lower starting weight. Look at the percentage not total pounds lost. You'll save yourself a huge headache.

  3. I have been at a stall for almost a month now and i am getting super discouraged..... I know stalls are normal but ive never heard of one for this long!!!! Any thoughts or suggestions to get past this?

I've stalled for 3 weeks then dropped a bunch of weight. It happens. Watch your carbs and up your Protein and Water. Usually has worked for me.

  4. I have the same thing happen to me. I have no idea how the scale can know when I am approaching a milestone' date=' but it ALWAYS stalls just before I get there. Then, once I hit it, it is smooth sailing again until I get close to the next milestone. AMAZING!! I just keep telling myself that it will eventually move - I am getting lots of lessons in patience!! Congrats on approaching 100 lbs! It is a wonderful feeling to be able to say "I have lost 100 lbs" instead of "I have almost lost 100 pounds"! You will be there soon!! HW 331; SW 292; CW 218; GW 150 (113 lbs gone!)[/quote']

My scale too! I've been stuck between 205 and 207 and back to 205 and back to 207....

Can I just get to onederland? Please!??

  5. I'm making myself do liquids only today. I went a little over board yesterday and can't deal with the guilt. They bought us pizza yesterday at work and i ate 2 slices of thin crust veggie. How was it possible? Then when it was dinner time I kept picking at the left overs from the pan even though I was stuffed. I have no idea why I was so out of control. Some one please tell me in not alone? I know in not but the mind is a powerful thing. I woke up feeling so ashamed. I knew I had to confess and ask y'all for support. Preop weight 389 current weight 293..that's 96 lbs lost since RNY 6/11/13

You can't deny yourself everything. You'll go crazy. I still occasionally have pizza or even a cookie. Why? Because if I don't one day I'm going to binge.

But now it's a slice or two of pizza - not half of a pizza. And it's one cookie - not half a dozen.

  6. So I just was at the mall just to try on clothes to see where I was - NY&CO was having a killer sale and I haven't been able to wear anything but sweaters from there in years.

Well, I bought two pairs of jeans, six tops and two belts! Size 16 pants and Large tops! From a 22/24 and XXL!
