The subject says it all! I began my journey on November 1st, and this morning was -50! I'm very excited, and feel like I'm on the right track!

Yoga
So today I started a 10 week winter yoga challenge! (Given, it's beginner yoga). I went to the first class tonight, and wow! I feel great after it! Does anyone else do yoga? What are your favorite exercises?

North Texas Lap band
If anyone is interested in going out of town, I had my surgery in Lubbock at Swat Surgical with Dr Buschman. It was much cheaper than what y'all are saying, and they work to get your insurance to cover most of it. I didn't really have any health problems before, and I only had to pay 1400 out of pocket.

first fill
I just got my first fill today, and I'm on liquids for 2 days. It was interesting, didn't really hurt at the time, but is really sore now.

"cupcake" dinners
Who are you following on Pinterest to find these recipes? I've seen cupcake dinners, but want to make sure I follow the healthy ones!

Water intake
Im having a hard time, too. I notice when I drink out of a straw I get more, even though I hear we're not supposed to have straws... But it does help. I do also drink decaf tea during the day. I don't know what to do either.

How do you know if you slip?
Oh that's all great advice. I haven't thought it happened, but I'm always curious about things like that just to make sure. I think when I get my first fill I'm going to ask if we can do it where I can see, just to make sure everything is where it's supposed to be!

How do you know if you slip?
Oh well no vomiting here... Yet! Sometimes there is some discomfort but I think it's because I've eaten too much. My first fill isn't until the 21st so I'm hoping I'm doing am good and on the right track! Down 25 pounds since surgery. Good luck to y'all!

How do you know if you slip?
What happens when you know you've eaten too much? How do you know if your band slips? Anybody been though that kind of stuff? I'm just at a month out, and it's hard learning how to eat, especially in a restaurant setting. Ugh.

Whats happening
I'm just now 1 month post, so 4 weeks and 2 days... I've had that same plateau for about a week and a half, but this morning I weighed and dropped 2 more pounds! So hopefully I will continue to go down. Total I'm 24 pounds down, which includes pre-op. I was discouraged when I stayed the same for so long, but don't worry, it will go down.

Great support meeting tonight!!

Am I Doing Something Wrong Or Just Lucky?
I was banded on the 7th, too! Considering the pre-op which started on the 1st I've lost 23 pounds... I feel like that's not very much compared to a lot of people on here, but I'm still happy with any type of loss! I'm on mushies, but some things more solid than others. I haven't had any problems yet. Try to bump yourself up to come chicken salad or tuna? Anything with that consistency that is high in Protein and low in fat/sugars. I also have an applesauce or blended veggies with my meals, and like 1 egg for breakfast. Maybe it will help you! Good luck!!

First Follow Up And Weigh In!!!
That's great! I was banded on 11/7 and since then and my per-op which started on the first, I've only lost 23 pounds... I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

Hair Loss
What about extra sensitive skin? I went to the waxed yesterday, and whoa! I was way more sensitive then normal... The only thing different is the surgery. What do y'all think?

Questions About Foods To Eat/drink
I've done the bariatric advantage protein shaks, and they were pretty good. Lost 10 lbs in 6 days per op with those 3 times a day.
