  1. Hi! I am new to the site. I am on the first day of the second week of my preop diet. It has been ok' date=' some days easier than others. My surgery is scheduled for Nov 16....so exited![/quote']

Hey,Ritaroo1973! Dr Snow has only made me do a 5 day liquid diet. . . So far, so good, I started yesterday! Hope to meet you Friday! They haven't called yet with the exact time! I'm VERY inpatient! Lol

  2. I am from Crowley which is just south of Fort Worth. I was banded with plication on the 16th of March by Dr. Adam Smith in Fort Worth at Fort Worth Lapband. I have lost 34 lbs so far.

I am from Crowley, also! I will be banded on this Friday, the 16th by Dr Snow in Hurst!

  3. Wow this has been so hard. I am so proud of myself that I have been able to resist temptation and follow the liquid diet. I picked up my grandson Mario yesterday and stopped at McDonald's to buy him a not-so- happy meal' date=' lol. He fell asleep in the back seat and I found myself all alone with fresh french fries just sitting on my front passenger seat. I'm sure everyone knows how tempting that was but the thing that stopped me was my weigh in today. I was not about to throw away 12 days of hard work for temporary gratification followed but days of regret. I probably wont ever be able to enjoy a milk shake for the rest of my life because I do struggle with my Protein shakes but it's all worth it. This morning I got on the scale and I found that I have lost 12 lbs in 7 days and I am super excited. :D :D :D :D

The closer the 15th comes the more nervous I get. I pray that everyone has the strength to complete the pre-op diet, including myself-everyday is a struggle, and continue to make health choices after surgery. Have a great weekend and God Bless!!! :)[/quote']

Try the Syntrax nectar in Double Stuffed Cookie. . . .taste like a Cookies and cream shake! Mixes great and you can't tell there are 23 grams of Protein in it!

  4. This is actually how my Dr hours about getting part of the Lap Band paid for. When we found out that my insurance would not pay, my Dr performed a EDG (endoscopy) and took a biopsy of my hital hernia. So, now my insurance is going to pay for the repair of my hital hernia. That way the hospital fees and anesthesia are paid for by my insurance. So, now I'm having my Lap Band done while my hital hernia is being repaired!
