Hey everyone!
I haven't been on the board in while. Since my surgery in June, I have lost a total of 64 lbs. I now have lots of clothes that no longer fit! So I am selling them. They are pretty affordable. Please message me if you are interested and I will send you a link to my Ebay store. Thanks!

I am 3 days post op now. I went home yesterday. I was given a prescription for percocets and prevacid but I really don't need the percocets. I took some liquid tylenol and the pain has been manageable. I still feel a bit sore but not in pain. So far so good. I have been doing a fair amount of walking both at the hospital and after I was discharged yesterday and I feel like that helped.

I got sleeved on Tuesday. I haven't been nauseous and my pain was minimal the first day. The second day, my doctor encouraged me to walk around and I did. My pain increased especially going into this morning. I was given some pain meds and I doing much better. I will be getting discharged today.

Hey everyone. I was sleeved yesterday, 6/3. I also had a hiatal hernia repair. Everything went well. I had no nausea and minimal gas pain. Today, I started the Clear Liquids. I have no nausea but the pain was excruciating. Finally, my nurse came in and gave me 2 percocets to chew and swallow (gross taste) but I can feel it working. Hopefully my pain will subside a bit and I can get discharged tomorrow.

I am doing ok. I didn't feel much gas pain except for a moderate amount in my shoulders. I had no nausea until my little patch came off and they gave me a new one. I have been walking, walking, walking. I wad so nervous going in but I feel like I made the right decision.

I have only told my family, boyfriend, best friend and therapist. I honestly don't feel that anyone else needs to know. People can be so judgmental. I feel like people are ok with people getting nose jobs and boob jobs but if someone is getting a surgery to improve their health, then you get judged. I also feel that there are people that are comfortable with you being the "fat friend" and feel threatened if you do something about that. I am very wary of telling people that I am not close with.

Hey everyone. I had my pre-op visit today and was told that I have a hiatal hernia that needs to be repaired. My doctor will fix that at the same time that he performs the gastric sleeve surgery. I am nervous but I am glad that this issue is being fixed and hopefully, it will alleviate my GERD.

Hey everyone. I had an EKG done today as part of my pre-op requirements. Everything was good. My pre-op appointment was changed to May 21st. I am getting closer and closer. I am nervous and excited.

Yep, I will be there. You?
This will be my first time. I need the advice, do's & don't. Also the pills I need to take since I can't swallow
It will be my first time also. I remember the nutritionist saying to take the chewable Multivitamin so I starting looking for some on Amazon. I wonder what brands people take.

I resubmitted my paperwork last Thursday with all of the testing that my insurance company required. I got a call today and I was APPROVED! My surgery date is June 3rd!

Congrats! I wish I could say the same. My insurance denied my claim because I needed to be tested for H. Pylori and I needed to get medical clearance for surgery from my primary doctor. I did the test for H. Pylori yesterday and I am waiting on the paperwork from my doctor.
Feeling Like a Failure
in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Posted
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to post about how I have been feeling lately. I have been sleeved for over a year (my surgery was June 2014). I am 5'3" and my surgery weight was 262. My current weight is 203 lbs. My lowest weight post surgery was 187 lbs. As you can see, I've gain weight since my surgery and I am starting to feel like a failure. I feel like I should weight much less than I do right now. Does anyone have any advice on how to lose more weight. How have you been successful? Should I be doing something differently? Thanks in advance.
