  1. Just a constant headache for me so far. But I can't concentrate, and have a really hard time at work since it's hard to concentrate. My boss tells me something, and I just want to tell her "I really don't care!" LOL...
  2. My pre op diet is shakes, cottage cheese, and egg whites. So I really don't think you are semi cheating I agree though, the cottage cheese helps. Good luck!
  3. I am soooo excited for you! Happy Valentines Day to you for sure!!! Let us know how you are feeling post op when you can. ((HUGS))
  4. Mine is on Monday the 18th, and I am right there with you! I am so ready! This pre op diet really sucks for me too.
  5. Right there with ya both!
  6. Today is day one for me too, and I'm starving too. I've had my moments of insanity all morning, but we can do it. I tried a tip from someone else on here about getting the Body Fortress Chocolate Peanut butter protein powder from Wal Mart, and adding warm water to make it like hot chocolate. That helped me through this morning. You can do it!!!! Hang in there. It will be worth it.
  7. Will try that...thanks
  8. Congrats!!!! That's the best phone call ever
  9. I'm curious to know what you will be doing for 9 hours in pre op testing?
  10. Just had my first bowl of broth....not great But I read on their website that it adds a lot of flavor to chicken salad when you whip it with no fat mayo, and it's great added to thinned down mashed potatoes. Let me know your thoughts on it.
  11. LOL..well at least you're honest Well now it's 4:30 pm and my happy heart is freaking starving!!!!! Trying to keep those positive thoughts!!!! Uggghhhh....
  12. I start my 8 day pre op diet today. I have to go to Old Chicago tonite with my mom since she can't drive in the dark, and she is meeting friends there, and asked me to drive her. I will be bringing my shake with me. Even though this is tough, I can't believe my time is finally here. I've been working hard (just like everyone else) jumping through insurance hoops, countless doctor appointments, and medical tests and it's finally here. My heart is so full of happiness and peace right now knowing that I will be sleeved one week from tomorrow. Hopefully I will still be this happy in a couple of days...LOL
  13. My liquid diet starts today! My husband took me out to a chinese buffet last night, and then I got popcorn afterwards at the movie theatre...just a couple of my favs The coffee is brewing for my hubs right now, and the smell is wonderful! But since I only like my coffee with full fat cinnabon creamer, I will abstain.....Bring on the protein shakes..LOL.
  14. I just got a big container of that chicken soup in the mail today. I should have tried the samples first Oh well...
  15. My surgeon told me that once I was tolerating 3 to 4 ounces of liquid per hour that I would be discharged. I guess that I just assumed that I would probably just be at the hospital one night IF everything goes ok. But I see a lot of you staying 2 or 3 nights at the hospital. Just wondering how long all of you post op sleevers stayed in the hospital, and if you had to reach a certain "goal" to be able to go home?
  16. I had strict instructions to NOT take any diet pills (otc or prescription) and/or any herbal remedies 14 days before surgery. I just wouldn't do it if I were you. I'll be feeling your pain next week when I'm on pre op. Keep your eye on the prize. Hang in there.
  17. Oh wow...I start my pre op diet this Sunday, and I KNOW I will be feeling the same way I can have shakes, cottage cheese, Jello, and broth. I have to keep it under 1000 calories. I get a headache just thinking about it..lol. Hang in there, and keep your eye on the prize
  18. I had everything in order to have my surgery in January, but was denied. I was then approved for Feb 4, and rescheduled everything (work, kids, hubby's work) for the 4th. Then my surgeon had to go out of town last minute! So...now I am scheduled for feb 18, and ONCE AGAIN have everything rearranged! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Best wishes to you. Hope it all works out.
  19. Sorry no advice...I'm still pre op. But CONGRATS!!!! Best wishes
  20. Oh no...I'm so sorry. This is one of my fears right before surgery. I would like to know too....
  21. No, I start it on the 11th. My do requires a one week pre op diet. It's Protein shakes, cottage cheese, egg whites, and chicken broth. I gotta stay under 1000 calories a day.
  22. YEA!!! CONGRATS!!!
  23. Congrats and I'm glad that you are doing so well! Thanks for the advice! I start my pre op diet on the 11th. I need to print your "KICK ASS" paragraph and keep it where I can see it throughout my pre op diet
