  1. Oh man so many things.

Iced passion tea with no classic (liquid sugar) and add your own (I prefer stevia)

Really any iced or hot tea obviously

For a few extra calories you could also do my favorite which is the iced passion tea lemonade. Goes down fine.

If you can drink milk and caffeine: any skinny latte (ex. Skinny vanilla latte' date=' skinny hazelnut latte, skinny cinnamon dolce latte etc etc)

My favorite drink is as follows:

Grande vanilla roobios latte with only a quarter milk (versus half) steamed at kids temperature (after letting the tea steep for at least 2 minutes before adding milk) with no classic and 1 pump of sf hazelnut.

Ooo and I've never had a problem with the very berry hibiscus refresher or cool lime refresher.

AND their smoothies have 20g of Protein from whey. Ask for the chocolate banana smoothie made with SKINNY MOCHA and perhaps extra protein like I do. It's just sf mocha, a banana and milk and protein. You can also sub nonfat milk if you prefer.

    I. Will. Not. Fail.

  3. I have been fantasizing about the day someone tells me I "took the easy way out!" I can even hear my fist hit their jaw- j/k. But seriously this is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. I want to think I will be the "bigger" person (but not for real- physically) and give them the its a tool for Weightloss schpiel. Totally depends on how my day is going. I have told about 5 ppl and that's it. I am learning to live w my addiction/ forced compliance of eating right and abandoning my relationship w food. We know we are doing what's right for us and our lives and health! Keep ur heads up! Ignorant ppl are very prevalent in this world!!!

  4. Hello Everyone I'm at stall but I droped 2 sizes. From size 4 to a now size 2 31inch waist.

Psst Kiwi over here.... if I drop 2 more size I will be a size zero lmbo I'm good with a size 2. I was excellent when I was a size 7 but my body say nope! needed smaller' date='and wow!!! I'm a size 2. watch out I'm gonna make it to the news hottest woman alive LMBO[/quote']

    Do u eat?

  5. I wish I had this ap when I first had surgery. It would have been great to get his kind of support! I am 5 years out and SO so happy! When I went in for my gastric bypass I was a solid 300 lbs. In one year I lost 160 lbs. Today I am 5'4 and a very proud 115 lbs!! Ahhh! If you had asked me 5 years ago if I thought I'd ever get to this point I'd probably say "psh! I wish" Well here I am!! I've never been so happy. It's all the little things are so great. Like wearing belts and tucking your shirt into your pants. Being physically picked up. Riding in airplanes or roller coasters! Shopping! Sharing clothes with friends! Jumping up and down. Going to the gym and not feeling like everyone's looking at you!

My whole journey was a roller coaster of emotions and finding out that I really and truly am addicted to food. Like a drug. Am I over my food addictions? No. It's something I'll always have BUT I am in control now. I know when enough is enough.

I've had so many cool opportunities come my way because of losing weight. I actually got into some small modeling rolls. I've modeled wedding dresses and been in a Paul Mitchell hair show. I've played the main characters in plays and musicals. I found my husband...seriously the list goes on.

Anyway' date=' I just realized today how far I've come. I am so proud! Best decision I ever made!

    [/quote']

Thank u for sharing! You look gorgeous and for sure are an inspiration! Can I ask how old you are? My goodness! So glad to see this!

  6. I used to be that way; now I need to have my workout in as much as I need to eat! You have to find something that you like...there are a lot of things out there to do...walking the mall like Worm2872 said is fine...but you need to remember many of you are new at this...this is the time that you need to set your good habits in motions...repitition becomes habit...I started walking' date=' then had my Ipod set up with music I love to listen to, I told myself that I would walk 3 of my favoirites and be done...the next thing you know your are doing three more to add to it and so the next thing is you have gone three miles and never realized it! Water areobics are great for newbies...low impact something to do at you own pace...I now run three miles every other day and cycle two days a week and bellydance for the fun workout!

The one thing I always do is drink!!! Dehydration for us is a real serious problem, I sip something every fifteen minutes...for those of you that are having a difficult time, I understand...I have been there...a trip to the hospital is a lot more expensive than a bottle of water...I carry a little soft cooler in my car packed with Water, Protein shakes and healthy Snacks...

In my first weeks post-op I used to set a timer for 15 minutes and take a fews sips when the timer went off...I also put the timer in a place I would have to get up to get it and turn it off...

You guys can do it!!! Believe in yourself, remember why you had this life changing surgery...to change your life...get out there and live life!!

    Hugs,

Great info. Thank u for sharing!!

  7. I have taken small bites of a Peanut Butter cookie' date=' and a small bit of brownie, did not get dumping. I'm actually ok with not dumping. Sugar and sweets were never my downfall, I am a portion hog. I cannot just eat a normal serving size of anything, I have to eat an army's worth, so the restriction is the part that I love. I only even took bites of those because the kids and I were making Christmas Cookies and goodies for my annual Christmas party.[/quote']

You and I are the same! It was quite an adjustment to only be able to have 2-3 bites and BE DONE. I hurt if I eat more. I've accepted it and I am happy that I am actually full! Portioning has always been my issue- 3 to normal 1 serving- started when I was preggers....... Well it got bad when I was Prego. I've had issues forever! Now I feel very full and I love it. I think I am going to be a slow loser. I am 14 days out and only lost 15lbs. I know that is great, but for some reason I thought it would be more!

  8. I'm 5 days post op... still pretty sore... but moving pretty well. I think my biggest problem is I overdo it when I'm up and pay for it later... anyway' date=' I have a couple of concerns... I still haven't taken a poo... sorry if this is TMI.... and I've barely passed gas the last few days. I'm so uncomfortably bloated I can barely stand it... and to top it off... the scale hasn't budged a bit... actually I've gone up 3 lbs... I'm starting to freak out and I feel like it didn't work. I know I need to be patient and let my body heal but I'm frustrated and scared that I've gone through all of this for nothing.......[/quote']

You wrote exactly how I feel. The scale finally started going down but it's barely back to where I was when I went in. I am not losing and I thought I would be. I'm so scared.

  9. I am so sad here. I still feel fat. I am being a big crybaby and starting fights w my hubs. I feel so alone and I am so scared of failing. I have been taking it easy on the food but am still able to eat a bite of this a bite of that. I walked on the treadmill for 22 min tonight. Super slow. Like 1.7mph. I am dying of pain on my left side. Anyone else experience this. I feel like my hubs doesn't get that this was a serious abdominal surgery. Like I'm milking it. He's the one who encouraged me to do it and now is resenting me bc I can't. CAN'T help w the kiddos. I am just a wreck. Anyone else? Any pick me ups? I'm drowning here

  10. I'd like to be as successful as Christi has been!

Here's my most current updated pic.

How about others? Lets see your successes...[/quote']

    Amazing! You look Awesome. Inspirational!

  11. So I got home from the hospital today! I will miss Hillary being right next door! I am still drowsy' date=' but my pain is under control with the loratab and I had a protien shake and a couple of tsp of cream of chicken Soup. No nausea still! No vomits! But the 1 hour trip home took almost 2 and it stunk even with a pillow. Glad to be on the losing side, now if only I start losing :) Glad to be post-op though! 3 days post op today![/quote']

Glad it's going well!! I head home tom

  12. I'm out! Surgery went great yesterday. Pain. It's getting easier. Definitely feeling better. On liquid meds now. Much more manageable. Not hungry. Sip. Sip. Sip. Still feels like a dream! So excited to be a loser and have a success story finally! You guys are so awesome on here sharing. Very helpful and knowledgable Put me at ease and let me know what to expect! Hugs!,

  13. A while back I put together a list of high Protein foods. If you post or PM me your email address I'd be glad to send it to you. Forum rules don't allow me to post the Excel file. I've sent it to dozens of folks on the forum.

It's difficult to get all of your protein without some kind of supplement but hopefully you'll find some things here that will help!

You also might try getting the unflavored Protein Powder. First thing in the morning' date=' put a scoop of the powder in a small bowl. Depending on the powder, one scoop is 20g or more of protein. When you eat or drink something, put a pinch of the protein powder in. You can add it to almost anything and if it's just a pinch, you shouldn't notice the taste too much. By the end of the day you've eaten an additional 20g of protein, a pinch at a time.

Trying anything you can think of until you're getting all of your protein in every day is well worth the effort. Unlike fat or starches, your body cannot store protein and the nine "essential" amino acids must be obtained from food - the body cannot manufacture them. That means they need to be replenished every day. It's quite important for faster healing, increased energy, reducing Hair loss, preserving lean muscle tissue and protection from bacterial and viral infections. You're gonna love the new you!!
