  1. I am an extremely happily married women ....but sex got better!!!

    I look people in the eye at restaurants now instead of feeling guilty for eating like a heffer

    I catch men checking me out (not that I care but hey....it's flattering)

    I can wear clothes at the store...like normal ones. Affordable ones. No more lb

    I have more energy and appreciate my curves

    I can feel my bones again (been buried for 5 yrs)

    I. Am. Happy.

    Best decision I've made hands down (besides marrying my hot hubby)


  2. I was having a rough week last week and I decided this week was going to be different! I hadn't measured at my next 4wk mark (I was doing 4wk increments) so Tuesday I measured-> down 6inches in the last 5 wks. Total loss 32" and as of today I weighed 184.8lbs from hw 247lb. I needed that!!! I am walking/getting moving and working on a tan and toning! Feeling amazing! Keep your head up! I was struggling for 3 wks w same couple lbs! Surgery date 11/27/12

I am losing my hair like crazy. The past month has been awful. 11/27/12 down 60lbs 26" since I measured 4wks ago. I am at a stall or losing/gaining 3lbs. Frustrating. Hope I'm not done losing. Would love to be 160 but dr said dig deep and had me set goal at 140. 187lb today. I hate Protein Drinks. Getting all my Vitamins and really try to get all my fluids. It's a battle w food daily but I love the new me and am not going back. Everyone is doing well. Love reading your posts!


  4. I'm very disappointed in my results so far. I had my surgery on November 20th and I am only down 35lbs. I wish I knew what was wrong with me. It seems like everyone else on this site has lost 50 - 60lbs or more. I only dropped 7lbs in January. I plateau every couple of weeks and won't lose for 2-3 weeks at a time. I work out 5-6 times as week! I've dropped a couple of sizes in my tops and bottoms' date=' but the weight is not coming off. What are you all doing that is allowing the weight to come off so easily? I wish I knew what I was doing wrong. : ( I am so depressed and almost wish I never had the surgery.[/quote']

    Don't be discouraged. It will happen. I had to up my calories to start losing again. The inches I am losing is amazing. It's what has kept me going. If your working out that much u may need more calories/water/protein. I am 10 wks out and have. Lost 46lbs. Listening to everyone else I could be a little sad, but we are all different and I would have never ever lost this w/out the surgery this fast or changed my eating/thinking/living habits the way I have. Stay positive! If u aren't happy w the scale then measure


  5. I need to go jeans shopping...I was going to go today but I keep putting it off. I have no idea what size I am and despite feeling like I look pretty good after 50+ lbs gone...when I look in the mirror I still feel huge.

    Me too Lisa. But you aren't. Go get 50lbs of hamburger and tell me we are still as big. Nope. So many mental games.


  6. Thank you Jess I took that pic jan 10. I started at 246 and am at 203. I've been trying to workout and do more. I just feel naughty for eating when I wasn't befor ya know. I also just figured out stuff I could et without getting sick! Salads are my fav! Surgery was nov 27. I would be happy if I didn't lose another lb. 43lb is more than I ever lost before. I just can't see 40 more going away ya know? Seems to good to be true!

    I'm on soft foods- been trying to be careful. I just can't eat but like 3-4 bites. I thought it would be a little more. It's just so different. I am doing well energy wise (well...better). Just having trouble changing it up. I am so sick of Soups. I want some fish and have been doing a good bit of chx too. Just don't eat much at all.
