  1. Good Morning to all!!!! I am here for support this morning!!! I am at a point where I am beginning to go back to some bad habits.... I have lost 183 pounds and my weight is in a 5 lbs loss and gain.... I am eating chips, honey Buns, m&m's and other Snacks ESP ice cream.... But it is always the week before my "friendly monthly visitor" this is like EVERY month... I don't care how many Protein bars or shakes I have to try to curb my cravings it does not help!!! I thank GOD for the restriction but I am trying to reach my goal and am trying to lose these last 15 lbs by my 1 year surgiversery .... March 4th... But don't think I will make it going this route.... Anyone else experiencing this?

Indeed I think that we all may get to this point. I have. Been on a plateau for about 2months now. But I think I am finally losing again. I need to lose 17.6lbs by March 12. So why don't we try get there together.

    We can do it.

  2. I am at a total of 100 lbs loss since my surgery on march 8th....hair still coming out but I'll live...water still gives me a stomach ache and I live on Protein bars for my lunches ...I have added sunflower seeds to get protein in...still don't like eggs anymore and chicken doesn't agree with me...have my check up tomorrow with the md and nutritionist ...the first one i have had iin 6 months ...

That is amazing!! Sometimes I feel like I am so far behind cause I have only done 80lbs. But I only got 40lbs to go till my goal. Then maybe a little more.

  3. I had my surgery on march 8th and I have been consistent with my weight loss' date=' down 92 lbs...I have had incredible Hair loss on the last month and I'm taking Biotin and all other Vitamins ... My Protein intake is 60 grams and my calorie intake is between 500-650. I am on MFP And its a great tool to keep track on what your eating and to also see what everyone else is eating ...[/quote']

Wow 92lbs!! That's amazing. Congrats!! My calorie intake is close to double that. Being a male, not such a bad thing. I think I really need to go back to basics, and start eating smaller and healthier. But I just don't want hair loss.

I am still below the curve for where I want to get to so I'm not complaining to much. If I can lose the rest over the next 8months I'll be happy. I'm half way at the moment.

  4. Hello Folks' date=' I had my surgery done on March 11, 2013 and I consider it my rebirth day. It has been 4 months now and as of this week I am down 66 pounds and counting. I still have another 116 pounds to drop but I just take it one day at a time. I have had my ups and downs since March but I would have this surgery again. I make the decision to move forward and not look back. At this time I am noticing a lot of hair loss. With the suggestion of my Nut. I have increased my Protein intake from 65 to 70 grams per day to 80 or 90 grams a day. I have returned to drinking my high Protein drinks that I started at the beginning to get the right kind of protein that my body will absorb. I also include 1 or 2 pieces of fruit each day and 1 to 2 servings of veggies too. I have changed my Vitamins to fusion chewables ( I take 4 a day) and have also added high dose of bioten (just started this week). I guess it will take me at least a month to see a difference with Hair loss. I really did not experience hair loss until 2 weeks ago so this is a little scary for me. Has anyone noticed hair loss and will this stop at some point? I hope everyone has a great weekend.[/quote']

Awesome. I had my op on the 12th March, and am at about the same point as you. Protein is always important as is Water. I haven't had any hair loss and really hoping I don't. For a guy, I love my hair and would hate to lose it.

I take Calcium, Folic Acid, Iron supplements including A once a day multi-Vitamin. And once a week a Vitamin B12 injection.

Surgeon only mentioned the first 3 above and I'm taking the rest on my own accord.

My calorie intake is probably more than it should be as I really don't have any reactions to any food. I can never have ice cream though. But I can live without that. My meals are still smallish and I am generally never hungry.

I love the new me, and I'll only half way to goal.

  5. So after my last stint away in Madagascar, I am home, and my Dear friend Mr. scale has kindly reported 7lbs lost. Which brings my total to 49lbs down. So I am content, and bought a new pair of jeans 2sizes down, but fitted into a pair 4 sizes down, but was just a little to snug for my liking. Would never had got close 3months ago.

Well that's my update for today.

Trust everyone else is progressing nicely. For the over 50 ppl that had their op in March '13 there is only 3 or so of us still posting :(

  6. The scale moved a little this morning so I'm excited about that. I have to remain consistant with the Water that looks like that was my problem! THANKS FOR THE TIP!!! :)

Always glad to help a fellow loser.

I used to be a water baby ( I literally dream of swimming, and drinking water), and now I find that now I have to get back into the habit..

Just keep it up, and it will fall off. I am so keen to see if I am still losing but I forgot to pack my scale :-(
