Are you using gas x? I didn't need it but my doctor told me to take it if I had gas. I have also read others who posted that it works;)

I go to dr glascock in cedar falls. He has a bariatric center of excellence so it may be worth the 45 minute drive.

Great job! You look GREAT!!!

I took two weeks off but probably could have gone back in one;)

I thought about this decision for two years and now after being banded for just a month, I wish I would have done this 2 years ago.

One week almost normal, maybe 80 percent. 100 by two weeks;)

Madly is right on! All of those feelings are normal. Then one week after surgery you will be so happy and it is all worth it!!!
-
Definitely myfitnesspal!

Are you on pai meds? The pain meds can cause nausea. I never took any pain meds so never had nausea.
-
I workout when they are eating. Then I don't feel guilty taking the time away from them to work out. We are all happy;)

Be sure to take pictures in tighter clothes and do many views so you can see the difference. Take them every 10 pounds, you will be amazed what you don't notice in the mirror each day!

I promise each day gets better!!!! In a week, this will all be behind you;) less than a week even;)
-
Every day gets better!!! Four days from now you will feel great;)

The liquid diet does that. And then the meds from surgery. Once you get on mashies it returns to normal;)

I thought it was a 2 as well. I can't believe how smoothly it has gone. I thought about the surgery for two years. Now I wish I would have done it too years ago!!!!

Wow!!! You look amazing!!!!

You'll do great!!!!

My doctor said 1200 a day. And try to eat 4 or 5 small meals a day. You are physically able to eat more because your band is empty but you shouldnt. They stress Protein because it helps you heal.

I got discouraged by this too and then I had to think "this is a marathon and not a sprint". So now I am continuing to eat healthy and just waiting for the day when the scale starts to move again. I know that it has to;)

You will do great! I had surgery a week and a half ago and I had anxiety before and even the day after surgery. But it goes away! A few days after surgery you will start feeling like normal and this will all be behind you. I never even took one pain med so the pain is so minimal. Good luck! This is the best investment that you can make for you and your children's future;)

I am two weeks post op and the scale has stopped moving:( I am only eating 900 calories a day and I just started walking again on the treadmill a couple of days ago. Did anyone else stop losing and then have it start again. It is discouraging when I feel like I am trying so hard and not seeing the payoff. I am still down 22 pounds which is great but ready to see more:)

I can't believe I have been banded for over a week! I feel great! With the presurgery diet I am down 22 pounds in just over 3 weeks. I have dropped one whole pants size and already went out and bought new workout pants. My one week post op went great and my doctor has moved me to mushy foods. She said I will do this for one week and then be on solid foods. I can't beleive how fast this part goes. I have to say for the most part I feel full but I do have a lot of head hunger. I am dealing with it pretty well but it is definitely taunting me:(
Here's to a grest week fellow October Bandsters!!!!

Yes, definitely ask about the metformin. I have pcos and miscarried my first baby when I didn't take it. I took it with the 2nd and have a beautiful daughter!
