  1. I take Biotin 5000 and am also four months post op. I am losing hair also but I know that the surgery and weight loss cause stress for your body and this happens. For the good news..... Hair follicles lose in cycles. The hair you are losing now is from the stress three months ago or so. Most Hair loss occurs between months three and five after surgery. If you take your Vitamins and eat Protein, it should get better after month five. I am not a doctor but this is what I have been told by others;)

  2. I am 3 1/2 months post op and I had one fill 6 weeks after surgery of 2.8 CC's in a 10 CC band. Then last week I had 2 more CC's and wasn't able to eat much at all or keep things down and burped constantly after eating. Today I went in and had a slight unfill and feel perfect! I hope this is the sweet spot;) I still love my band! I m down 48 pounds and am going to hit 50 pounds this week! I can't wait for the next 50!!!

  3. I just got back from shopping for a new pair of jeans because every pair I own was falling off. I started this journey as a size 24 and have been buying size 20 pants for a month now. Tonight I went to get jeans and the ones I really wanted didn't have a 20. I told the sales lady I would TRY the 18's but there is no way they would fit! I was shocked when they fit AND looked great:) Down 47 pounds and 3 sizes and feel amazing. (surgery was October 30th, 2012)

I just had my second fill on Wednesday and think I may have hit the green zone. I think I have a 10 CC band and the first fill they put in 2.8 CC's and this time he put in 2 CC's. He did it under xray with fluro and he cinched it all the way down and then let up enough to no see any reflux. The bad news is that I can't eat carbs really but the good news is that I can't eat many carbs really:) I definitely feel restricted to eat between 6 and 8 ounces of healthier food and feel full and it feels great. Lovin' my band! Gonna hit 50 pounds next week!!

  4. Very normal! I would be shocked if people said they weren't nervous. I am almost 3 months post op and am down 44 pounds. I can honestly say I wish I would have done the surgery years ago. It is a short, easy surgery and you will all do great. A few days after surgery you will be so happy it is behind you and excited to see the weight start dropping off;)

  5. I had surgery 3 days before you and I am down 38 pounds. I have seen people down less than that in that time and way more too. I work out five days a week and eat 1200 calories a day.

Be proud that you are losing and know you control how fast it is by the calories you eat and work outs you do. You van do this!!!!

  6. I am only 36 pounds lost and I had several NSVs on vacation. First the seat belt on the plane was very loose and not tight like normal. Second, I rode on roller coasters for the first time in years because I wasn't scared I wouldn't fit. And third, I saw pics of me in a bathing suit and didnt cringe;)

    Ready for the next 36!!!!!!

  7. I just had my first fill last week and had 2.8 cc's put in and my doctor also uses Floro under xray to watch the flow. I still don't feel much restriction, so I can get another fill in 4 weeks. I appreciate that the doctor does this slowly because I would hate to be too tight and get stuck.

    Good luck!

  8. My surgery was October 30th and tomorrow is my first fill. I am excited. I am down 32 pounds but I am definitely getting hungrier each week after post op. I know I won't be anywhere near the green zone after one fill but I will at least be closer:) I am so proud of all of us October Bandsters! I can't wait to see what the next couple of months bring!
