    Plication?

On this forum most will Preach the sleeve and not plication. I have the plication and love it so far. The plication board is very slow but lots of people have it. Many on the lb talk have it too, either alone or with the lb. I was low bmi, 7 weeks out and have lost 29 PDs. I feel great, and like the sleeve, this tiny stomach feels like a miracle... To feel full after so little food! I am mostly on this forum because post op, our eating plans and what not are fairly similar, and as you prob seen the plication forum is slow! Lots of great info and people on here. It's tough to ask people who don't have the plication for their opinion because usually it's the horror stories they've heard about lol, but not experienced! Anyway, I think both are good, plication was right for me. Any questions, shoot away:) good luck with your decision!

    Scars

So these sunless products, how Long do they last? Like if you go swimming will it come off? In Patches perhaps? Are you talking spray tans or lotions? I've never used either but it sure woul be easier than trying to get away to tan. Also does tanking beds help with scars or make them worse? I remember my sister used a tannin cream once and her hands were orange lol... That was awhile ago but scared me off!

    Anyone using a Fitbit?

Where does one buy a fit bit one?
  8. I was a 32 bmi and no commordities... Yet. Fought the battle my whole life. Four other members in my family had had one form of wls or another. And I was tiered of fighting and didn't want to end up like them. I had moments of regret right after having it done because no one could prepare me for the break up between me and my relationship with food. That being said I have it done, am seven weeks out and feel great! Down 29 PDs from day of surgery and have to say I don't feel like I'm dieting. It's a miracle I feel full when Ido so now I want to eat what is right for me. I pick healthier choices, will h e a treat here and there and am loving what's to come! I had the plication for my own reasons but come to this forum because of the wealth of info am support here. After all is said and done we are all reaching the same goals right?

    Dr. Ortiz Jan. 15th!

The pool area is nice and very private. Very relaxing and wonderful weather as it was minus 30 degrees here when I went:)
  10. Yes it was upsetting, but necessary I felt. I didn't just discuss my choices for the procedure but some of my thoughts, lessons I've learned in life, etc. it was actually very healing to do for myself. Something I might do anyway, just incase my time comes early. What a gift to Leave I think;)

    iband?

She had it here in Canada with a very reputable surgeon. Just part of the 1% I suppose that has bad luck and complications. Clearly by the forums most have little to no complications, but it scared me lol. I can't be down and out for that long, I am too busy. That being said any wls can have complications but I opted for the less invasive procedure because of what happened. And lb had to much follow up crap that I don't have time For either although I know many that have been successful with that. To each there own, pros and cons to both;) oh and I had mine in Mexico, no issues at all and they have been great with follow up:)

    iband?

There's many reasons I chose plication over sleeve. One of them is my mom nearly dying from the sleeve. She is seven months out and still not back to work. She has/ and will be going through several more surgeries to fix what happened. So for me the sleeve was not the right choice. I was going to get the lb initially, but decided against it for my own reAsons. During my research I met wonderful people on the lb and sleeve site, that are still my friends and supportive today. So I go back and forth to all the forums. I love my plication, and the post op diets/ lifestyle changes are the same. I'm not sure what research you found on plication, but I have no staples anywhere in me lol. Wls is a personal choice for everyone, but I find the lifestyle change is shared by all. I'm not here to push plication, and there are no rules on who goes to what site for support. But I will give my opinion on plication If asked because I have it and am doing great. Good luck with your choice;)
