  1. buffalo-chicken-bites.jpg

These Buffalo chicken Bites are seriously amazing and one of the best Weight Watchers recipes I’ve ever made. They are a wonderful, much lighter alternative to traditional Buffalo chicken wings, but for a lot less Points. Each serving has just 3 Points +, making this an excellent dish to help you satisfy that Buffalo chicken craving. I like mine super spicy, so I served it with a side of extra Frank’s Red Hot Sauce, but they are also great as is, dipped into a low calorie ranch dressing or low calorie blue cheese dressing. Pair it with some celery for that authentic feel. These were so amazing, that my husband could not believe it was a light recipe. I’ll definitely be adding this to my list of must make Super Bowl recipes too!

  2. I started my pre surgery program at 333# August 27th, and I started my presurgery diet at 316#, prior to presurgery diet, I did ISAGENIX shakes (shake shake meal) and I was on that for two weeks then back to sensible eating for about 2.5 weeks before the liver shrinking diet. for my presurgery diet i went with the Body By Vi Shakes, (shake shake meal, but switched shakes because the Vi shakes were so much more versatile and yummy). i started that portion on Oct 2, was down 9# from presurgery to 306# day of (10-16-12-last Tuesday), and weighed in this morning at 295#!!!!

    11# from surgery day

    21# from presurgery diet start

38# total from start of process!

  3. She would code it the same way she would any elective surgery like if a plastic surgeon needs blood work before a nose job. But to be honest with you your medical decisions are none of her business. You should find a new gp and she should know exactly why you are doing so. And to be honest with you I am surprised your surgeon doesn't contact her and tell her that interfering with his specialty is unacceptable

  4. I had a little bit of a hard time with Pre op diet and I found that doing my Meal Replacement shakes for Breakfast and lunch was much more bearable as by the time I made it home at night I was feeling like I needed to eat and chew something. I went out to eat once with my husband during the Pre op diet and the calories I over Sid it with was the Pre dinner salad (or rather the salad dressing) and I added some extra grilled shrimp to my chicken. The calories were over but I really tried to avoid anything sweet (cake Cookies pie ice cream) because that really irritates the liver and if the liver is too large the surgeon cannot get to your stomach during surgery. If you are planning a laparoscopic it is possible the surgeon may decide to do a full open surgery or stop the procedure all together. The lap band is just a tool if you chose to take it more calories you will always find a way to lap band or not and if you are already considering that your depression will interfere with your Pre op diet I would seriously consider if you are ready fr lap band you have already made yourself believe that you need food in the evening for not feeling depressed that isn't going to magically change because of the lap band. If you are wanting to release hormones that make you feel good, go for a walk. Endorphins are the best for depression and a lot healthier than eating your feelings an thinking that is 100% normal... Remember 700 calories is probably what everybody SHOULD be eating Portion Control is out of control.

  5. I am on Day 4 post surgery and I haven't had any #2 business yet, I was mostly just drinking fluids because eating didnt sound good at all, since Wed. morning I sipped on a Protein shake(body by vi) mixed with skim milk and Sugar Free Chocolate pudding and I just finally finished it today. between wed-sat I also had 1 ensure clear, 1 container of sugar free jell-o, and 1 sugar free popsicle. but just this afternoon, I made cream of potato Soup and had a few bites. felt good to eat something warm that wasnt sugar free sweet flavored :)

as of today from presurgery on I am down 35 lbs.

  6. It is day 3 post op, and my surgeon told me to be on Clear liquids day one and then full liquids day 2-14, yesterday i made a Protein shake- 8 oz. and added a cup of sugar free pudding, I litterally took 7 drinks(sips) of it, and have to remind myself just to drink h2o. Im just not interested. is it my pain meds? anesthesia side effect? I mean it's not normal to be completely uninterested is it?

also, I snuck into my work break room yesterday and weighed myself, and since prior to surgery, I am only down 2 lbs, seems weird considering i havent eaten in 4 days...is the swelling and/or gas causing a false weigh in?

  7. will they do a fill at my first appt or just check incisions? I am unable to tell how the band really fits because I am being so careful its probably not really enough to eat, but I am just so scared of getting sick. I had the banding tuesday at 1030, and I made my first Protein Shake today, I have body by vi shakes, i used almond milk, 1.5 scoops and a sugar free pudding and it is about as thick as whole milk, I have taken about 5 to 6 "bites" or drinks of it all day because when i tried to eat Jello on clear liquid yesterday I felt queasy.

  8. I was banded 10-16-2012 Just two days ago. I drove about an hour and a half, or rather my mother drove, my husband and son rode along. I got to the surgical suites at 10:30 am, I waited in the waiting room for about 20 minutes, when they called me back i was nervous. The nurses prepped me, I got into a gown, gave me the blood thinner, started an IV, and my mom, husband and son came back to wish me good luck and see if they or I had any questions for the surgeon or the anesthesiologist. I signed papers and gave hugs and kisses to my family. they wheeled me back to the surgery room, they let me lay on a pillow, got me warm blankets, and talked to me, then the doctor announced he had started the sleepy med and I could just relax and would be up in about an hour, he was very friendly and I just dozed off.

I woke up in recovery with my nurse (the same one as Id had since my very first appointment with the clinic so i felt very comfortable) I could feel a little soreness, but it wasnt horrible, I had a very dry mouth and the nurse helped me sip water- which was amazing after having not had a drink since midnight the night before! They asked if I wanted to let my family know I was ready or if they should call them, I opted to text my mom and husband. they were there about ten minutes later. the nurse got me up to walk and go to the bathroom, make sure I had my bearings then they asked if I wanted to go ahead and leave or rest there a while, I opted to go ahead and leave since we had a long drive back and I would be sleeping all the way there anyways, I was asleep pretty much the entire way home and my mom drove us back to our home, I went right inside to my bedroom to lay down, my husband helped me get settled and then he went to retrieve my medicine from pharmacy. he brought it to me and the Loritab knocked me out for about 3 hours. I woke up and moved down to the couch and slept the rest of the night in the recliner. I was able to wake up enough to say goodnight to my kids and show them my band aids.

  9. I have magic bullet too and by far the ninja is better. The mb seems to over do it . Example: crushing ice turns it to snow and blocks the whole thing up. Do you know what I mean? I find that ninja gives a perfect blend/ purée hands down.

Who makes the ninja? I did body by vi shakes Pre surgery and ice didn't do well in it. Might have to try this other item
