  1. Any time suga! I've been trolling the forum for many months now lol. I know much of the acronyms...
  2. Clinic called me 4 business days after they submitted the paperwork. I got the approval letter from insurance 3 days after that. So it really depends on the communication between clinic and insurance.
  3. Congrats! I'm glad all your hard work and perseverance paid off.
  4. Had my pre-op labs and appointments done this morning. Met up with a nice lady who was banded 3 weeks ago. We were in seminar and class together. She was self-pay, so she didn't have to wait for insurance run-arounds like I did. We exchanged numbers, and it's great because she lives in the next town over from me! She said everything went great and it's the best thing she could have done for herself. It's nice to have someone close by who is a month ahead of you.
  5. 10-12 days. Surgeon wanted two weeks. I wanted a week. We met in the middle.
  6. When I order my coffee, I always tell them 135 degrees cuz if not they make it like 185 degrees. Coffee is very hot.
  7. Lol I'd give her a dirty look and then go in my room. My kids are getting pizza tonight but it will be gone by the time I get home. My hubs knows better!
  8. Um they better supply you with pain meds and anti nausea meds if you need them. I pick up my prescriptions before surgery so they are filled and ready to go.
  9. Four days. Thats how long it took to get approval from insurance. January 30th is my surgery date.
  10. I'm very sorry to hear this news Mimi. The good thing is, with your surgery so close, you might not be diabetic for long. Hopefully you can get by with just oral meds and then just diet controlled. I will keep you in my thoughts. As far as pre op diet, you might just be getting bored with not being able to have foods. It will be over soon my dear!
  11. January 30th is my surgery date! Pre-op diet is going smoothly. The hubby is doing it along with me and its nice to have someone to share your hard hungry times with.
  12. Thanks Mimi! I was afraid I wouldn't make a January date. But I did!
  13. Oh cool!! I wish you the absolute best and quick recovery! Keep me posted!!
  14. Finally got my surgery date! January 30th!! Don't know the time yet. They were ready to take me tomorrow! I'm like, I'm not ready yet! I have two kids to worry about! Very excited and nervous!!!
  15. Wow Mimi! Way to go! That's fantasic!
  16. I have the Paraguard IUD and have had it for over 6 years. I love it. Set it and forget it. I don't have strings (they think they went up past my cervix right after I had it inserted) so I have no clue if anything has changed. You're supposed to check once a month to make sure all is well. Yes, it is possible for the IUD to shift with BOTH weight gain and loss. I get ultrasounds every once in a while to make sure mine is still in the correct position. So I would say, if you want another one, make sure to be responsible and check! I can't take bc cuz they make me extremely nauseous and I can never remember to take them so I always worried.
  17. Thank you! The clinic said about two weeks is average. They pay 100% for me as well, I just have to pay my hospital co-pay of $150.
  18. So I have Cigna insurance and the clinic faxed all the completed paperwork last Wednesday (01/09). Now I get to anxiously wait by the phone. I was wondering, those who have Cigna, how long did it take from fax to phone call?? I might start bugging them towards end of next week (give them a full week).
