  3. Congrts. I am happy for you. Keep it up!
  4. Oh no! I hope it gets better soon. I heard the best way to make it go away is walk. How does it feel when that happens?
  5. Hello Octobers, I have my surgery scheduled for October 17,2012. I am so nervous and excited all at the same time. I have been spending my time preparing all my stuff for if something were to happen to me. Depressing I know but it is something I have to consider especially having a little one. I think it's something that not everyone thinks about or wants to think about but should. I have been reading about what people ACTUALLY used after surgery and went out and bought some things and have been watching a lot of youtube videos on peoples journey's. I have been trying to prepare myself as much as I can for I am a big planner. HaHa, I hope everyone a great surgery and wonderful recovery and hope to chat to you guys and help motivate eachother since we will basically be on the same track. Good luck everyone!!!
  6. SlimshadyinLA-I don't really know that is something you should talk to your doctor about. I would say if you actually feel hungry and know your sleeve is full that is head hunger but if you are craving somthing then that is a craving. You can have a craving and not be hungry. I would talk to your doctor about it. Sorry I wasn't much help. Good luck! Mich Grand-If you go to my first post on the first page there should be the attachements there.
  7. So I have been so set on the sleeve since I have started this process but met with the phycologist today and she made me questions myself. She is saying since I have 150-180 pounds to lose that it would probably be better to go with the bypass than the sleeve cause you don't ususally lose as much as I need to lose on the sleeve. I have never felt like the bypass was right for me. I always felt like it was such a big change to your body and a lot of stuff to go through that I was never comfortable but when the sleeve came along I felt more comfortable finally coming to terms and feeling ok about bariatric surgery. My question is would anyone that has as much weight to lose as me or around it wish they had done the bypass instead of the sleeve or hasn't been able to lose as much as they wanted to with the sleeve? Anyone think it's a better idea to go with the bypass since I have so much weight to lose. I don't know if my insurance company would cover the bypass after I have the sleeve first so this might be a one time shot and I need to make the right decision. Thanks and I look forward to you responses.
  8. I have read on here that the hunger pain could be acid. Try Prilosec and see it that doesn't make you feel better. The girls talking about this said she takes it everyday and it makes a huge difference. Good luck!
  9. Well that's a relif to hear. I think that is my main fear other than dying of course. LOL.... I went to my diet class and they said to blend the meats. That sounds so gross though. What do you do to make it inot a soup just add broth? I don't have my surgery date yet. Still need to meet with my surgeon and this is on the 2nd of this month then we will send my paperwork to my insurance company for approval and then a date can be set. So I still have some waiting time ahead of me. It's the hardest. I just want to get it done and over with and start my new life. Do you feel amazing already? How far are you post op 2 weeks?
  10. That is so good to hear. I am nervous about the gas pain. Did you have any of that? Do you feel hungry at all?
  11. Your welcome SoReady219. Good luck with your surgery this month
  12. nursgirl-You are very welcome. Sounds like you are doing amzing on your own though. The only thing I would add would be more protein. I think the reccomended amount is 60 g a day. Congrats on your surgery and your great weight loss so far. I look forward to seeing your progress. Keep in touch and if you ever have a questions feel free to ask and I will answer by what I know from my docs. Keep up the good work. You are doing great!

  18. Irish1988- That is in addition to the shakes. They want you to be getting all your Protein in along with Water, crystal light, Powerade, ect. in between. She said if your not drinking your eating, and if your not eating your drinking all day. LOL, well once you start food. In the beginning it's more like if your not drinking you are drinnking and if you are not drinking your drinking!!! LOL ;o)
