  1. LOL, well I can see why you don't regretit you look freakin amazing. Congrats on your success and being a positive role model. What does GOP stand for?
  2. Yeah I always try to remind myself that but sometimes I rather give up the surgery so I can eat that food just at that moment. Obviously it passes and my moods go up and down but I am sure this will pass too. Don't get me wrong I am very thankful for the opportunity to have this surgery, I am just going through the motions.
  3. Yeah I feel the same way. I pray it get's better:)
  4. Well knowing I can eat all the foods I love again does make it a little better, even if it is in monderation which I don't mind. I might find that when I taste these foods I might not enjoy them anymore but until that day I get to try it I won't know. I hope that happens that would be amazing. And I am not wanting to eat a huge burger and a large fry with a milkshake or anything. It's just emjoying the food I eat that I miss I think. I believe that being a single mother everything in my life is a responibility or a duty and the only reward that I have time to give myself is food cause you got to eat. I really believe that is why I turned to food for happiness. What else can you do while in the car driving to your next stop or sitting at your desk at work while getting the rest of your work done and enjoy it. Nothing really but eating. You get what I am saying. Food was my pleasure of choice that was convienent for me and do-able. Soooo it's hard to let that go even if it is for 1 month or 6 months. Even for 2 weeks it's hard when you lived it for so long.
  5. Yeah I think I will feel the same once the weight really starts coming off and I really start noticing it. I haven't been losing much because I am not able to get all my protein in and I have been really neauseous so I haven't wanted to eat much. I am doing better but still need to get all my protein in.
  6. Thank you Virgie. It's good to know I am not alone. I will hang in there with you all. I just wanted to make sure what I was feeling was normal.
  7. Thank you everyone. I know this is going to be a long journey and it's going to be a fight it's just getting to the point where the fight is all worth it. I know it can only get better and go up from here. Like I said I think once I can start eating more solid foods and I can get all my protein in and start really losing weight I will fee a lot better about everything. I have had trouble getting all my protein in cause I have been neauseous so I haven't been losing that much weight recently but I am working on it. Thank you all again and I really appreciate all your guys' support and comments.
  8. Well that makes me feel a little better. I think if I had more food choices that were enjoyable this wouldn't be so hard but I am still in the purred kind of soft food stage. All I want is a burger even if it's only 2 bites and 5 fries I would be happy or at least I think I would. Hopefully when I can start eating anything I will eat healthy foods and be happy with that. Just not being able to choose from any foods get to me. Thanks for your support
  9. Hey Family, So I have been feeling negative about my surgery for a little while now wondering if I made the right decisons and thinking about how long I have to eat like this, forever. I miss all the foods that I love so much and sometimes feel like I wish I didn't have this surgery so I could have them. Does or has anyone else felt this way? I feel so alone right now. I am sad
  10. I would love the list as well please theby_88@yahoo.com. Thank you so much!
  11. Thank you Lee I appreciate it. I feel a lot better taking it now
  12. Are gastric bypass patients allowed to take tylonol pm?
  13. No meds since 2 days home from the hospital. I was taking Tylonol with codeine. I will have to call them on Monday. Thank you for the info I appreciate it:)
  14. No I am not taking any meds just the tylonol with codeine once last night to see if it helped.
  15. I hope not that would suck. I only took the meds in the hosptial and only once at night for like 2 days when I got home. Since then I didn't take any till last night. I need to figure this out though cause I am soooo exhausted and feel like crap. Thank you for the advice though.
  16. Hello family, I haven't slept in 2 days and I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with sleeping or insomnia since surgery. I am a little over 2 weeks out and this is my second day of this. I am soooo exhausted and my head is killing me. I have to go back to work Wed and there is no way I can do that if I keep having these sleepless nights. Any advice?
  17. Thank you everyone for your advice. I really appreciate it. My nurse called me and said it was fine so I tried it. Helped a little so far. Waiting for the next to find out if it's better,LOL. Just like everything else I think it all depends on your docotor and your own body. Everyone's stomach reacts differently.
  18. Oh no I won't go against them. I always check with the bariatric nurse at my doc's office. I don't want to be causing any problems ya know. Thank you for the concern though that's really nice of you!
  19. Yes every doc is different so def ask yours. My doc had me start B-12 and multivitamins when I got home and calcium after 2 weeks. Not sure about biotin. I am going to ask this when I go to my 2 week check up Nov. 1st
  20. Hello, can gastric bypass patients take gel pills?
