    Snacking

That is a good idea. I am going to try that and def bring healthy snacks only. I will eat them if they are here I just end up choosing the wrong snacks at that moment instead of the veggie tray or fuit tray. I am going to grab those first. Thaks Michele

  9. So I am super bummed because this is my first weight gain since surgery 4 months ago. I haven't been doing bad eating wise and I have upped my workout these last 2 weeks so I don't know why I not only losing but am gaining. It's so discouraging becuase here I am being active and kicking butt and then I get this news and it totally knocks you down. The only think I can think of that made me gain was either gaining muscle or Water retention. Other than that nothing makes sense. I should still be losing. I have another 90 pounds to go. Any words from the wise out there. Is this something that can happen when you start consistantly working out? I lost 5 pounds last week. Thanks guys. This sucks! P.S. I did accomplish another one of my goals though, went hiking twice this weekend, woohooo!
  10. You are so right. I think I am dropping inches even though the scale went up. I need to not worry about it as much. Like you and the others are saying stop worring about the number and believe in the tool. Thanks guys for much needed advice and tough love. That's why I always come to you guys for advice
  11. Yes I should do that. I have lost inches I think so maybe I should go that route. Thanks for the idea:)
  12. 1. No 2. Maybe 3. No Hahaha, I def think I need to cut the carbs for sure. Maybe with that and giving it another week or so I will be back on track. Thanks girl
  13. Yeah I have upped my workout so maybe it is that. I do think I eat to many carbs so I need to watch that as well. Maybe I should start writing everything I eat down even though I hate that and only end up doing it for like half the day. I need to just pack a lunch and that is all I have for the day and then I won't have to write it down throughout the day cause I already know what I had. Thanks for the comment
  14. No cycle yet and yes all pipes are working good, LOL. I don't really know how much I lost the prior month but the week before I lost 5. Thank you. I have lost well it was 81 now its 79 I am going to wait it out this week and see what my weight is on weigh in. Maybe it was just because I upped my workouts. Thanks for the concern and questions though

    Hait loss

My doc said the same also. It's from the stress of losing the weight so fast. Nothing is going to stop it but biotin or other things might help it grow back quicker
  16. So my thought of the day is how important working out is and how we all NEED to be doing it. I am the worst with working out because I just hate it but it is something we have to do in order to get the full benefit of this surgery and to be the healthiest we can be. I had a reality check from a friend whom I reached out too when I felt like I was going down the wrong path already at 4 months, I know horrible but hey bad habits die hard. And you know what she said that really made me think was "Please don't spit in the face of this surgery," and wow that really hit me cause that was what I was doing. I was slowly inching my way back to the old way I use to be and I just can't do that. That's what got me where I was in the first place, fat and miserable. Sooooo I took her advice and put it into action. She said promise yourself to exercise at least 3 times a week for 30 min. That's really not a lot to ask if you think about it. 3 times a week is totally do-able so I made that promise to myself that night. This is only my second week since my promise but I have kept my promise and even worked out 2 days in a row this week so far because I am feeling so good. It's funny how when you respect yourself and keep promises you make how great you feel inside. And on another positive note I lost 5 pounds last week from exercising and eating better. Hey what more can you ask for. I still have like 90 pounds to lose so this is not the time to be lax and lazy so for anyone who is having trouble just remember what my friend said. Don't spit in the face of this surgery. Use it and take full advantage of being lucky enough to of gotten this surgery. It's only a TOOL. You still have to do ALL the work. Good luck to everyone and get your butt moving. Remember it doesn't matter how slow you go, you are still lapping the people that are sitting on the couch. I love that one! I totally got off track with my rant but I was also trying to say that we all need to make working out a priority. Just like taking our vitamines, drinking our Water and eating our Protein. It's a priority and we HAVE to do it in order to stay healthy and strong. The same goes for working out. When people want to make plans or go out you have to say NO not till I am done working out cause you know if you miss it you probably are not going to end up doing it later. Plus when you get off your routine it just messes up the whole day anyways. Sooooo remember working out is a PRIORITY and you need to make TIME for it. Ok I am done running my mouth. Love you all
  17. See I think most people do hate working out but it's something we all HAVE to do to be as successful as we can. I hear about those people who start working out, that were total couch potatoes, and turn into these work out freaks. I want to be one of those. I don't know if it is possible but I hope haha. Thanks for your encouragement!
  18. Haha me too. I am sooo bad at it but I have been pretty motivated these last 2 weeks. Hopefully it sticks. You just have to have the aha moment and what my friend said to me was mine. It takes time but it will come to you. Just try and push yourself till then. Remember we will be so dissappointed if we lose all the weight and have all this skin and we didn't do anything to try to minimiz it. I know I would so it's time to get serious, take advantage of having the surgery and change my old lifestyle. You can do it too. Lets go!

4 months and down 81 pounds

You are going to look and feel amazing cowan. Just be patient. I know it is hard to do but I think that is one of the biggest lessons I have learned so far in these past 4 months and that this surgery IS just a TOOL. You still have to do ALL the work. You will do great. Just hang in there

    Dehydration warning

We can do it if we pay more attention and seriously sip allllll day. It's just annoying and you have to dedicate yourself. That's hard to do but I guess we better do it before something really bad happens. We didn't have this surgery to get sick from it right. We want to get better from it. Let's do it!
