I will try all tips after my shower later. Trying to get as much cleaning done as possible today. It's just kind of funny because my incisions really don't look bad at all, surprisingly. It is the glue that makes it look nasty.

You know what's weird? My skin (at least on the surface) is still numb. I didn't realize you were only getting 2 doses from the children's pain reliever. Hopefully you won't need it much longer.

Did you try the generic version of it? My port site is still uncomfortable but not painful anymore. It seems like that hard bump I had went down quite a bit over the last 4 or 5 days. Hope you feel better. :-(

Kerr, I just googled a few things and according to what I have read, you are not eating enough calories. The websites I saw say you should eat anywhere from 800-1500 calories per day, and more if you are exercising regularly. Your body may be storing this extra weight because it thinks you are in starvation mode. I am not a doctor or nutritionist so I can't say for sure, just telling you what multiple sites say. But I am already eating more than 800 calories and I am only 2 1/2 weeks out. Good luck with everything!!

Me neither. I knew this was to be expected, though. When you say 1/2, are you referring to a 1/2 cup of food at a time?

Can someone please tell me how I can block a member so that I don't have to read through some very judgmental responses? Wow! Best of luck with your surgery. My lap band mentor just had hers done over the summer and she feels like a million bucks.

I haven't heard of any Lap Band deaths but the dad of one of my daughter's classmates just recently passed away from complications from gastric bypass. I must say, however, by appearance his BMI was way over 50 and I think he did the surgery as a last ditch effort to lose weight because he was not in great health from being so heavy for so long.

I had the same thing and was wondering if it was from all of the IV Fluid that they ave me in the hospital. Not only that, but the smell was just AWFUL! It did go away by days 2 or 3.
